The concept behind cooperative learning is group work, but there are still several other aspects that are involved in the process of leaning. The core element of the methods of education is to show the positive effects of independence while at the same time, highlighting the need for personal responsibility. These aspects are easily achieved in corporate leaning since the learners work with one another, but they individually have different tasks that they should accomplish. Besides, the approach allows the student to develop social skills as they focus on learning (Zook, 2018). Regardless of the experience, working in the social environment has the benefits of helping the scholarships to gain some essential soft skills that are important to cooperative learning.

Essential Aspect to Consider in Cooperative Learning

The most crucial aspect of corporative leaning is to keep the student working on a given task. The role of the teacher is to ensure that learners are engaged and the various groups of learners are involved in the learning. The purpose is not to teach but rather to direct the student and only offer help in some cases. As the teacher one understand that students can quickly get off the course and start socializing. The most crucial role of the teachers is thus to ensure that these learners do not deviate. The most crucial focus of the teachers is to keep an ear on the entire class during the process of learning. While this can be a hard task, at times, it might be essential to enlist the help of another teacher. If it might be hard to get another teacher, the other approach could be to break the students into larger groups that could be easy to monitor. Besides, as the tutor, it might be necessary to have another strategy at hand so that when the learners finish one, they can move to the next one. Lastly, one can focus on putting the strategy in play so that you can have a structured approach to cooperate learning and thus make it quite hard for the leaners to get off the course (Zook, 2018). With a good structure, this approach can be practical for engaging the learners and getting the best result from the process of learning.

Applying the Approach in the Classroom

There are various approaches that one can use this method in the learning process. However, it is impotent to note that it is not sufficient to start a class with this approach. The best strategy that I would use it to start the course will require some bell work. Some of the work could include completing quick worksheets, working through the lesson on a computer and setting the goals of the period (Lewis, 2018). The approach could help in setting the mood for the class.

I would, first of all, focus on starting with the standard lecture in the early steps of the lesson. The focus is to lay the foundation for cooperative learning. Once the students have the conceptual framework, they can transition to these methods and engage each other are leaning.

I think that the cooperative method of learning is quite a practical approach, especially if it is combined with the other learning techniques. Such an approach would help leaners to engage and learn additional skills in the process.
