Most people who usually make life resolutions each and every year tend to resolve to eat healthier. A group of scientists argues that reducing processed and red meat and increasing fruit intake is a great and top priority in one's health. Some others may argue that meat and fish have no diverse problems in one's body (Gregório et al. 2017). Some people also argue that it all depends and says that processed meat may have no effects on our body. Meat and fish are seen to pose us to different diseases as compared to fruits. These effects may include; Meat increases one's risks significantly to cancer, It increases one's risk to Diabetes, and heart disease, Consumption of meat makes it difficult to maintain body weight, and Some fish may contain heavy metals that are dangerous for our bodies (Gregório et al. 2017). The Consumption of fruits is seen to consist of little or no effects on our bodies. Fruits are the source of vitamins in the body; they help in the reduction of constipation, Vegetables help in weight regulation in the body.
Recent research carried out shows that in red meat, there is a chemical that is naturally occurring. This naturally occurring chemical causes red meat to be carcinogenic (Gregório et al. 2017). In the gut, chemical haem is usually broken down, forming a stable compound of N-nitroso chemicals. These chemicals are seen to damage cells that usually line the bowel. The damage of these bowels usually causes bowel cancer (Gregório et al. 2017). Aromatic Polycyclic hydrocarbons are usually formed when organic substances such as meat are burnt in an incomplete process. The burning may have the potential in carcinogenic. During the process of charbroiling and broiling of fish and meat in intense heat and a direct frame over it, fat ends up falling directly to the hot fire. This causes frames that usually contain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (Chin et al., 2020). Which usually sticks to the food surface. Consumption of this compound results in complications that usually bring cancer.
Heart disease is a disease that is caused by the narrowing of the arteries, which usually supply blood to the heart in a process usually called atherosclerosis. Fatty deposits from meat usually build up and deposit inside the walls of the arteries (Chin et al., 2020). This causes discomfort as a result of pain. The pain is usually a result of little blood reaching the heart. This kind of situation is usually called angina. An unstable plaque that is inflamed and has a very thin cap is usually prone to the development of cracks that usually allow blood to come into contact with the plaque's fatty content. The blood usually clots while trying to seal the gap (Chin et al., 2020). This causes the blood clot to block the artery. This usually prevents blood flow in the heart, thus no oxygen supply to the heart. This leads to the killing of the heart cells leading to a heart attack.
Our bodies are adopted in a natural way in which they store fats (Chin et al., 2020). This a natural way that was very helpful in the early man in the survival of famine and food shortage. Currently, we have a variety of foodstuffs, which leads to an overreaction in the body. Cuts fatty meat is unhealthy for our bodies. The fats accumulate in the body, making it difficult for the body to break it down into simple and useful products (Chin et al. 2020). An excess deposit of these fats in the body leads one to increase body weight compared to the normal body weight. An increase in body weight beyond the normal weight may lead to diseases such as diabetes. Meat always
Fish is considered a healthier food as it has a very low fat and protein source and provides a very-long-chain omega three that is important in the development of the eye and heart health. These foods are, however, related to contaminations that include persistent organic pollutants and methylmercury. These contaminations are very harmful to our bodies (Jones et al. 2018). Organic mercury has great effects on the nervous system, and it leads to the heightening of the fetus's sensitivity to very high levels. The mothers are less affected, and they probably give birth to babies with neurological problems (Jones et al. 2018).
Fruit consumption is essential to our bodies. People who usually consume vegetables and fruits frequently in their overall diets are always at low risks of most chronic diseases. Fruits always provide vital nutrients that are effective for the maintenance of our bodies. Fruits such as prunes and apricots, among others, are usually sources of potassium (Jones et al. 2018). They usually help in the maintenance of healthy blood pressure. Dietary fiber in fruits is usually considered as part of a healthier diet. It always helps in the reduction of blood cholesterol levels hence helps in the lowering of the risks of heart disease. Fruit consumption helps in acquiring vitamin C, which is good for growth and helps repair all the damaged body tissues. It helps in the healing of wounds and cuts in the body. Vitamin C also helps in ensuring that teeth and gums are healthy. Vegetables and fruit intake in the body help in the reduction of heart attacks (Jones et al. 2018).
The replacement and substitution of high-calorie foods with fruits always helps in lowering the calories. This helps in decreasing the possible risks of weight gain. The reduction in weight helps in the control of diseases such as blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. These fruits also contain natural minerals and vitamins which our body cannot produce on its own (Jones et al. 2018). This helps ensure that the body is always healthy and energetic.
The different colors of fruits have different implications. The purple or blue color in the fruits helps signify their antioxidant and the ability to which they can improve health and reduce cancer. Healthy eyes are maintained by the carotenoids, which are obtained from orange or yellow-colored fruits (Jones et al. 2018). The phytochemicals which are obtained from green-colored vegetables such as broccoli are associated with having anticancer properties. Improved mental health and memory recall can be acquired from the Consumption of fruits. Fruits have sufficient potassium, which is responsible for the reduction of the occurrence of kidney stones and bone loss (McClements, 2020).
The copper found in pineapples is responsible for regulating the heart rate. Pineapples also contain vitamin C which helps in retarding the development of urinary tracks infections in expectant mothers (McClements, 2020). These pineapples may contain an acid called malic that helps in the improvement of immunity and oral health maintenance.
Fruits are healthier than meat and fish. Most of the infections caused by the Consumption of meat and fish may be prevented or controlled by the Consumption of fruits. Fruits are seen to pose our health to little or no negative effects.
