Introduction
Maintain good health through observing various key practices such as eating a balanced diet, and exercising regularly is paramount in efforts to keep up with the modern lifestyle. Health is characterized by a disease-free body that is fit and full of energy. Health is an essential element of our lifestyle, therefore if we are denied access to good health we cannot survive (WHO, 2011). This paper aims to discuss the various causes and effects of good health such as exercising, healthy foods, and having enough sleep.
Intake of healthy foods results in good health. To maintain good health, it is important to cut down the consumption of sugary substances as well as the foods with high-fat content. People who consume these types of food are at a higher chance of suffering from various heart diseases as compared to others. It is also important to include every essential food in our diet. Every meal we consume should have a portion of protein, carbohydrate, vegetables, proteins, and whole grains. We should also ensure that we drink enough water every day, the doctor's recommendation is up to eight glasses of water every day (Leung', 2010). The effect of consuming a healthy and balanced diet is that it helps to reduce the risk of various diseases such as malnutrition, diabetes, obesity, and heart diseases.
Exercising regularly is also an important aspect of promoting good health. It is recommended that every individual should have at least thirty minutes of moderate physical exercises every day. For example, one may choose jog for at least thirty minutes daily instead of instead of going to the gym to improve body health. We should reduce the sitting hours since the more time spent siting, the higher probability of experiencing metabolic problems. Exercising regularly has various effects in our body such as improving our moods and looks, minimizing the chances of abusing illnesses such as high blood pressure and obesity.
Getting enough sleep every day also helps in promoting good health. To maintain a healthy body, one should sleep for at least eight hours and also take ten to twenty minutes nap during the day. Getting adequate sleep does not only involve sleeping for ten hours, but it also involves getting quality sleep regularly so that one can have gained enough rest by the time you wake up. One should avoid substances such as tobacco and alcohol to induce sleep since they tend to deteriorate one's health instead of creating a positive impact on the body. Having enough sleep and rest helps to improve physical health. For instance, sleep helps to repair an heal the heart and blood vessels. Sleeping also helps to minimize cases of high blood pressure and kidney diseases.
Conclusion
The backdrop above depicts that the most significant causes of good health are consuming a healthy and balanced diet, having adequate sleep, and exercising regularly. It is important for one to take a balanced diet with all essential foods such as protein, vitamin, and carbohydrates. It is also important to exercise at least thirty minutes a day for example through jogging and attending gym classes. On the other hand, should develop a working schedule with enough sleeping hours to allow the body to rest and maintain good health. The effects of observing the various practices or causes of good health include reducing the risk of acquiring various diseases such as heart diseases, diabetes, and high blood pressure
