Introduction
The use of yogurt to treat yeast infections has been a controversial topic in the field of health science for a long time now. Some medics have argued that the method could pose health hazards to the patient while other physicians including medical researchers argue that the method id safe and affordable for most women around the world, an aspect that makes it an ideal treatment for yeast infection in the female productive system. Some of the bacterial conditions that can be treated by use of yeast in the female reproductive system include Candida Albicans which is a notoriously common yeast infection among women. Yogurt contains a bacteria, Lactobacillus, which is an effective bacteria in suppressing various fungi such as Candida Albicans.
Literature Review on the Topic
Several Authors have written about the use of Yoghurt in treating yeast infections in the sexual reproductive system of women. Some of the literature on the use of yogurt to treat yeast infection done by various authors and medical specialists include:
According to (Neri, Samra, et al. 1993), in the publication, 'Bacterial vaginosis in pregnancy treated with yogurt', there are highlights on the need to minimize the use of drugs in women during pregnancy. The publication argues that since Bacterial vaginosis may stem from prematurity and postpartum complications, yogurt can be used in place of commercial anti-fungi. The publication further observes that yogurt has a pH corresponding to that of the lactobacillus and Vaginal pH which makes it ideal to treat vaginal yeast infection.
The book "Candida Albicans: Natural Remedies for yeast infection" (Chaitow, 2016) explores the various methods of Natural control of vaginal yeast infections and strongly recommends the use of yogurt to treat vaginal yeast infection.
Another publication, "Candidiasis: Predisposing factors, prevention, diagnosis and alternative treatment" (Martins, Barros, et al. 2014) emphasizes on the need for women to women to start using yogurt as a treatment to vaginal yeast infections.
A journal of biological macromolecules by (Tester, Al-Ghazzewi, 2018) titled "Intrinsic and extrinsic carbohydrates in the Vagina: A short review on Vaginal glycogen", underscores the numerous advantages that can be accrued by the use of yogurt to treat vaginal yeast infections.
The strategy used to find the information on this topic include carrying out extensive research from books, journals and other journals with related information. Comprehensive research on the topic was also carried out on the Internet. Use of Interviews and questionnaires as a research method was also used, particularly to obtain information from health specialists and experts.

This search discovered that the issue of using yogurt as a method of treating vaginal yeast infection is still largely downplayed with a majority of women not paying enough attention to it (Miller, 2016). The Study
The type of study employed here is a quantitative study. The study involved the formulation of models, theories and a hypothesis for the research. There was also the development of instruments and methods that were used in measurements. Use of variables and collection of empirical data as well as carrying out the analysis of the obtained data was also done in this study. The Size of the population involved as correspondents was 1000 adults who are within the parenting bracket.
The Conclusions of the Authors
Most of the Authors seem to come to similar conclusions that; the issue of using yogurt to treat vaginal yeast infections needs to be carefully explored and researched to unearth more potential of the yogurt in treating general yeast infections and even more possible medicinal values of the yogurt. The authors also seem to agree in unison that there is need to carry more research to determine whether there could be health dangers of using yogurt in treating the vaginal yeast infections.
Conclusions From Work
From the Study, it can be gathered that indeed yogurt is helpful in treating the vaginal yeast infections. It should also be noted that civic education on how to apply the yogurt in the genital area to do away with the infection.
Approaching a Discussion with the Client
First, I would ask the client whether they know that yogurt is useful in treating vaginal fungi. In case they are not aware, then I would explain to them how it works and why they need to try it out. The risk here is that the response could be negative, with some members of the society unwilling to talk about the issue. The benefits are that the researcher could use the personal appeal technique to convince women to use this method. The alternative of this method is asking the people to find out by themselves by probably doing some research on the topic from sources such as the Internet.
My Findings
Carrying out the study, I had various findings. Some of them are: There is a dire need to educate the general public on the sexual reproductive health and other basic health issues such as fungal and bacterial diseases and some of the natural and home remedies of some of the minor infections. It is also important to urge the public to seek medication whenever they have any infections regardless of how that particular infection could be embarrassing.
I was surprised by the fact that a good number of people still lack some basic information about common infections such as the fungal and bacterial infections. It is also a surprise that yogurt can have such a key health benefit. This changed my view of the use of yogurt in treating the vaginal yeast infection as I now believe that the method is worth the trial.
