Introduction

Nursing should not be treated as a mere profession but should be a calling because nurses focus on a patient's daily life. Their services affect human beings, and the decisions that they make are life-changing (Mason, Isaacs, & Colby, 2011). What makes nurses unique is their ability to make their patients as their priorities and be able to deliver even if they are in the most adverse and difficult situations. Also, nurses doing thigs for their patients like giving them their medications, feeding and washing patient even without any blood ties shows how their caring nature. Another aspect that makes nurses unique is their ability to build a relationship with patients, think before they do something. The ability to listen to patients without making any judgments is also a unique aspect of nurses. Developing a nursing care plans concept is another aspect that makes nurses unique from other professions.

Nursing care plan concept that is developed by nurses help them to work in collaboration with doctors and families of their patient (Kim, 2010). Nursing is a discipline within the healthcare sector that focuses on relieving suffering and pain through the prevention of infection, protection, and promoting health to attain, maintain, or recover optimal health which is the significant to the practice of caring in nursing. The concept help ensures that nurses are caring people. Through the nursing care plan concept, nurses express their caring behavior by providing adequate and holistic care to the patients and the ability to plan, control and prevent complications. Therefore, unlike other professions that focus on making profits, nurse's core responsibilities are to take care, promote health and control diseases and infections to their patient's health. Another unique character in nursing that makes them different from any other profession is their ability to care for patients who are going through different degrees of psychological, spiritual, and physical suffering (Sensmeier et al., 2019). Nurses can be described as caring, courageous, skillful, and most of all, they are the most trusted people compared to other professions. In conclusion, nursing knowledge is not what makes nurses unique, but their perception in which the knowledge is applied to practice is what makes them unique.
