Introduction

The effects of climate change have so far had notable impacts in our environments. The impacts that scientists predicted in the past are now arising. Human health, agriculture, and infrastructure are the main areas that face the adverse impacts of climate change. Even though having plans to reduce exposure of greenhouse gases and other toxic substances in our environment, the climate change continues to pose as a burden. Adaptation strategies should thus be embraced to reduce any burdens associated with climate change. Through climate change, there has been a shift in weather patterns that influence production of food, diseases, and destruction of infrastructure. Furthermore, there has been increase in pollution arising from the problem of global warming.

Human health depends a lot on agriculture and specifically food production. However, changes in the ecosystem which entail all living things and abiotic factors such as water, soil and air with which human interact have been greatly affected with in terms of food production. Any interaction in biodiversity that benefits the people are on the verge of destruction. Health implication associated with climate change range from spread of diseases especially insect-borne, intense allergy period, increased heatwaves, and respiratory diseases arising from air pollution. Destruction to infrastructure is another predominant issue pertinent to climate change. The frequency, intensity and duration of hurricanes and storms are on the rise. Economically, a number of homes, transport lines and electric grids suffer great losses from the aftermath of the climate destructions.

Lastly, pollution continues to intensify and grow beyond measures available, thus it has costly and significant effects in our surrounding. Global warming has been mentioned and considered as a major causative factor that has aggravated levels of pollution around the world. According to a report by World Health Organization (WHO), air pollution is top on the list as a cause of premature death, followed by land, and water. Extraction and burning of fossil fuels are both a source of pollutants and also drivers of climate change which emits C02 emissions. Global warming has therefore had significant effects in the increase of pollution around the globe. From the atmosphere, the land, and water traces of toxic substances penetrate our systems contaminating the system. With comparative contributions of natural and human causes, climate change needs devoted minds to try and live in a sustainable world.
