Furthermore, the consumers of the nail polish are interested in consuming more organic nail polish. Therefore, this essay discusses the non-toxic nail polish and its compounds.

It is important to note that there are different types of non-toxic nail polish in the market. Some of those polishes are Aila, Kure Bazaar, Creamy Polish, and Sundays, among other brands. The compounds of the non-toxic nail polish are different from the chemical compounds used to manufacture the toxic nail -polish. The non-toxic nail polish contains chemical compounds that cause them to be grouped into four different categories. These categories are 5 -free 7 -free ,9- free, and 10 - free. The 14 -free compounds are also present in some non-toxic nail polish.

The 5-free compounds of the non-toxic nail polish are very common in the market. This type of nail polish means that it does not contain five main toxic chemicals in its ingredients. The five toxic compounds that are absent in these types of nail polish are DBP, resin, Formaldehyde, toluene, and camphor (Rosenstein). There are several reasons that these compounds have been discouraged from being ingredients of the nail polish. For instance, Formaldehyde has been proven to be carcinogenic, while the resin is characterized to cause allergic effects. Additionally, the camphor is proven to be toxic, especially when exposed for longer durations of time. In other words, the removal of these compounds secures both the health of the applicant and the nail technicians' health.

The 7-free is another compound of the non-toxic nail polish. This typically means that it does not contain seven toxic compounds that re likely to be present in other toxic nail polish. These compounds are xylene, camphor, toluene, Formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, DBP, and ethyl tosylamide (Stables). as discussed in there above paragraph, the reasons for not using of the resin, Formaldehyde, and camphor are also similar in this situation. Additionally, the xylene compound is discouraged because it is a solvent that is likely to cause dizziness and headaches when inhaled by the users. On the other hand, the toxicity of ethyl tosylamide is because it is a plasticizer. As a result, the European Commission banned its use in beauty products; however, it is yet to be banned in the USA. The compound is likely to cause antibiotic resistance among the users because it has antibiotic features.

On the other hand, on top of the seven compounds that are absent in 7-free,9-free also lacks acetone and parabens. The paraben compounds are discouraged because they are carcinogenic because they interfere with the functionality of the reproductive hormones. Consequently, it contributes to the risks of breast cancer. Acetone is considered toxic because it irritates the lungs, eyes, and nose. The 10-free non-toxic nail polish does not contain TBHP and gluten compounds plus the nine chemical compounds in the 9-free. TPHP is toxic because it interferes with the endocrine system functionality. Therefore, is a nail polish lacks the above-discussed compounds. It is non-toxic.
