Introduction
Smoking is the act of lighting a substance to inhale its smoke. These substances include tobacco and cannabis. The active substances, such as nicotine, are released by combustion and absorbed into the lungs.
This is commonly done by hand-rolling tobacco ready to smoke or smoking manufactured cigarettes. Nearly 1 billion people smoke in the majority all of human societies. Half of those who smoke tobacco or marijuana regularly experience complications that can lead to death.
Because nicotine is addictive, smoking is a form of addiction. It is difficult to quit smoking because of the nicotine. The nicotine will make it difficult for a person to quit smoking. Therefore, I believe that smoking should be stopped for some reason.
There are many reasons why smoking should be banned
Smoking should be stopped for its many health benefits. It can damage almost every part of the body. Smoking cigarettes is responsible for 87% of all lung cancer deaths.
Smoking is also a factor in infant deaths, especially when they occur during pregnancy. People who live near smokers can become second-hand smokers, inhaling the same harmful effects as those who smoke. Even though cannabis is not commonly smoked, it can cause withdrawal symptoms such as depression, anxiety, frustration, anger and restlessness.
Smoking can cause emphysema and also damage the digestive organs, blood circulation, and especially the heart arteries. Women are at greater risk for heart attack than men. This situation is exacerbated by continued smoking. Smoking can also affect the mouth. The teeth will turn discolored and the lips will turn black. This causes bad breath and makes it difficult to eat.
Tobacco products and cigarettes are extremely expensive. Smokers are forced to spend money they could have spent on other products, which is a waste of income. To reduce the cost of treating the diseases caused by smoking and the deaths that resulted from it, I believe smoking should be banned.
Essay Arguments: Why smoking should not be banned
But, if smoking were to be outlawed, it would mean that tobacco and cigarette manufacturers nations would suffer a lot. It should therefore not be banned. To get their revenue, some countries rely heavily on the export of cigarettes and tobacco products.
These revenues usually boost the economy of these countries. Smoking bans would result in huge losses for these people, as multi-billion dollar tobacco companies. These and millions more will lose their jobs as a result.
It is a complex process that involves many people. Tobacco and cigarettes products are delivered to consumers through a chain of processes. These people may lose their jobs if smoking is banned.
Conclusion: Why Smoking Should be Banned
The ban on smoking is an extremely difficult step, especially considering the billions of people who use it worldwide. It places a heavy burden on countries in the treatment of diseases related to smoking. However, it could take a long time for a ban to work. Many countries have failed to implement this ban.
