The goal of the article is to discover how health care professionals can establish a trustworthy, and caring rapport within the hospital setting for these vulnerable children, and their families. This will greatly help in reducing stress levels, and augmented rates of depression due to emotion burden, and financial constraints for parents. Kids who rely on technology have a myriad of difficult diagnoses such as chronic neurological impairments or congenital multisystem diseases. The main focus in the article is to elucidate how pediatricians can establish a helpful relationship, and clinical context for children who rely on technology to function, and their families.

A study conducted in Canada postulates that "children with medical difficulty signify less than one percent of the pediatric population while accounting for more than one-third of the whole province pediatric population" (Breneol, Goldberg, & Watson, 2019). It will help alleviate varying, and high-paced hospitalized contexts which often creates barriers, and difficulties towards the growth of trusting bond between a nurse, family, and the child (Breneol, Goldberg, & Watson, 2019). The rapport among Pediatrician Caritas Nurses and the relatives of children with chronic neurological conditions has often been fostered over years of immediate, and extended admissions. According to research done by Watson, most parents voiced the necessity of best quality health care in the hospital setting (Breneol, Goldberg, & Watson, 2019). They also recognized factors such as lack of enough staff in the hospital, and nurses often being too busy as the main reasons why nurses do not provide optimal care for families of children with acute, and chronic neurological conditions.

Pragmatically, nurses offer great physical, and sensitive care for vulnerable children, and their folks in the hospital setting. However, the main problem is lack of an authentic caring relationship for these susceptible children, and to solve the challenge Watson developed a Caring Science Theory to explain how nurses can build a dependable helpful rapport, and clinical setting for families of children with acute neurological conditions.

Watson's Fourth Caritas Process emphasizes that in order for nurses to build a caring relationship with children who rely on technology to function, and their families they need to be physically present (Breneol, Goldberg, & Watson, 2019). These parents have argued the main challenges deterring effective nursing and patient relationship is lack of enough number of health care staff, and most of them presently, are too busy for these vulnerable patients. In order to develop a caring relationship with children having chronic neurological impairments, Pediatric Caritas Nurses need to spare time from their busy work schedule and interact physically with patients, and families to effectively implement authentic listening (Breneol, Goldberg, & Watson, 2019). Watson posits that the "greatest healing gift to these vulnerable children is when a nurse is able to engage them physically, and genuinely provide them with much-needed care." In Caritas process, he examines the role of teaching within the current nurse's practice on the significance of them being physically present while providing care for children with a severe neurological condition.

On the other hand, Evidence-Based Practice refers to the explicit integration of the current and available evidence to enable health practitioners to address healthcare problems (Ellis, 2019). It helps nurses and clinicians to make the expertise decisions based upon the options that will provide good results to the patient. The article relates to the concept of EBP for the fact that the application of Watson's care helps to guide nursing practice (Van der Wal, 2013). The advancement in medical technologies helps patients to sustain and optimize their lives at the same time, it guides nurses to help children and suffering families. Based on the fact that there are technology-assistive devices that help sustain the life of children in hospitals, advancements in technology develops theoretical orientations that originate from EBPs. Nurses, therefore understand how these theoretical foundations can help them advance human caring needs for people with medical fragility,

Moreover, multiple thinking is vital for high-quality clinical practice. EBP helps nurses to advance their reasoning and make judgments that relate to the kind of evidence available (Ellis, 2019). In the same parallel, it helps nurses and clinicians provide high health care to patients based upon the best options available. Given that the quality of judgments and decision making dependent entirely on nurses, they will provide limited judgments, which also lack experience. Technology, therefore, enables nurses to optimize the life of patients in life supporting machines and also providing authentic relationships. Nurses are able to create good relationships which are technology-dependent on children and their families using Watson's caring science.

The article by Chan (2019), supports the concept that the application of technological advancements in science helps guide nurses to provide care to children and families who are technology-dependent. Caregivers particularly nurses and clinicians face challenges based on the considerable responsibilities that are associated with technology-dependent patients. Through the advancement in technology, healthcare practitioners are able to make better decisions due to a close relationship with Evidence-Based Practices. 'The Health and Well-Being of Caregivers of Technologically Dependent Children' article supports the argument that medical advancements have improved the survival of patients who are technology-dependent and those patients with life-threatening illnesses (Chan 2019). For example, patterns of diseases such as chronic illness have been reduced resulting in a growing number of children who are technology-dependent. The stress with caregivers has also declined since children and families depend on technology for healthcare support services.

There is a significant impact, especially to nurse's emotional and physical wellbeing. Families who have children with medical complexity can get services extended to their homes due to improvements in healthcare status. However, despite the fact that there are benefits to nurses and clinicians on decision making and judgments, caregiver support at home have reported challenges associated with family function and depression (Chan 2019). A growing number of children and families who are technology-dependent require a huge commitment of not only time but also resources. The condition of these patients affect the family function since to this point, social support is important than the support enacted by technology. Consequently, lack of social support increases children and patients related to stress. Child-care at home, therefore, is associated with challenges and caregiver symptoms, which result in mental health problems.

The significance of the article regarding the implications and its application for future in terms of healthcare practice aims at developing a helping and trusting care relationship between health care practitioners and patients (Breneol, Goldberg, & Watson, 2019). The nursing-patient relationship is built on the basis of human presence since technology helps nurses to make better decisions that help reduce patient illnesses. The process of developing a helping and trust care relationship is more conscious of the world and environment families live in for the fact that it helps reduce barriers and challenges patients experience. At the same time, since caregivers need high-quality care within the hospitals, Watson's caring science provides nurses with philosophical frameworks for better judgments and decision making.

This way, nurses will create opportunities that grow personally and professionally thus impacting health care practice positively.
