Introduction
There are many changes that have occurred between thirty years ago and now. Around three decades ago conditions like obesity, overweight, diabetes and hypertension occurred at rare cases as compared to how often medical officers are diagnosing these conditions among the population. Emphasis on nutrition and exercise for the middle-aged population and aging families should be increased since these conditions of obesity, overweight, hypertension and diabetes. These conditions are the results that occur when one does not observe proper diet and exercise.
Reduced physical activity and increased luxury time has been experienced these days. The reason behind this is the increased technology that has risen in all sectors. Nowadays there is almost every machine that is able to do work which was to be done by man. Some decades before people were the ones that were doing these works (Tay, 2019). There is even discovery of machines like robot that functions exactly like human being and produces even better results than human being. These innovations have rendered human being idle and left with very little work to do. Their work is only to control these machines and develop new ones. Also, the nutrition has really changed. The food people take nowadays is totally different with the diet these people were taking thirty years ago.
With these reduced physical activities and poor dieting then the results of these are inevitable. The only option left for good health is to attend gym classes. Although, gym prevent these conditions of obesity, overweight, diabetes and hypertension it is unable to realize results similar to the physical activities since most people are lazy and they do not like working thus remain in their comfort of their homes. To do work that you know you are going to get some money after completing the task is not the same as doing work just for exercise. In one situation you have the motivation of money but the other you do not have thus you end up not going for gym.
Obesity is a condition where a person's weight increases above the normal ranges. Excess fat has accumulated in the body due to lack of enough exercise. Strenuous exercise is required to burn this excess fat in the body. Obesity and overweight can be argued to mean the same but obesity is an outgrown overweight (Morshed, Becker, Delnatus, Wolff & Iannotti, 2016). Overweight condition is the one that grows to become obesity. With excess fat the person has higher chances of getting hypertension due to the excess fat. Hypertension is a condition where the heart is unable to perform its functions normally due this excess fat around the heart. Diabetes on the other hand is a condition that develops due to poor diet. It can characterized by abnormal sugar levels in the blood.
Conclusion
As a professional nurse I advise that increased emphasis on nutrition and exercise for the middle people aged and the aging families is very key. Emphasizing on these two activities is the only way people are going to evade the above stated conditions. The kinds of lifestyle people are living nowadays is very different from the lifestyles people used to live thirty years ago. Without having enough exercise and proper diet then these conditions are going to affecting most of our population. Obese people, diabetic and those with cardiac complications do not experience very smooth lives. Therefore, its better if we try to prevent their occurrences since they undermine our lifestyle.
