I am a Board-Certified Orthopaedic surgeon based in Saudi Arabia. With this letter, I hereby wish to state my interest and strong determination for joining the Spine Surgery Fellowship in Canada.
My Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. I have further completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery and successfully passed the Saudi Board of orthopaedic surgery in 2016 and hence getting me certified by the Saudi Arabia Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Over the past two years, I have been working in the field as a senior registrar of Orthopaedic Surgery at King Fahad Specialist Hospital. This has given me the opportunity to treat the patient with injuries such as skeletal injuries and diseases through performing orthopaedic surgeries as per the established guidelines.
With my rich background in Orthopaedics and Health Sciences, I strongly feel that joining your fellowship will be of great relevance to both my medical career and my personal development. I am overly experienced in utilizing medical equipment and tools necessary in Orthopaedic operations, and I can therefore effectively avoid any kinds of accidents in the operating room while working with the nurses as well as other hospital departments to ensure that we offer excellent patient care services. Specifically, I am overly interested in spine surgery in the future of my career, and for this reason, I am seeking to join a fellowship post in your reputable centre, a place where I believe that I can further enhance both my surgical and clinical in this subspecialty.
I have been working in the Spinal Unit at King Fahad Specialist Hospital (KFSH) since December 2016. KFSH is a tertiary referral hospital in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia which is serving a population of over four million. The Spine Unit is one of the busiest in the province with only one consultant there, which poses an extreme burden on the unit with a very long waiting list for surgery. My clinical duties in the unit are to participate in inpatient and outpatient spinal care as well as to perform on-call duties. During my stay, I am getting exposed to many major spine surgeries mainly deformity correction and degenerative spine disease. The unit is run by a North American trained spine surgeon together with myself as the spine fellow and a rotating resident.
My background also includes service on committees focused on utilisation management, clinical outcomes analysis. I have primarily participated in the planning of user training for enterprise in my work environment. In future, I plan is to get fellowship training at the Mcmaster University where the advanced surgical procedures, expertise in the spine deformity and spine tumors in addition to the volume load will enhance my knowledge and skills necessary to go back to my country and function as a spine surgeon to help offload the waiting list and serve our patients. KFSH fully sponsors me for a fellowship training. Therefore, I am seeking your kind acceptance to your spinal surgery fellowship program, and I hope to be an effective member who meets your high expectation. I am available for an interview at your convenience. Feel free to contact me on (EMAIL), to discuss future admission opportunities.
Yours Sincerely,
