I was born and raised in Tanzania, one of the poorest countries in the world. I was fortunate to receive the quality education. My parents originated from Kutch in Gujarat and moved to Africa in 1909 during railway construction. My roots are India, but I just love Tanzania. When I was four years old, I loved football but never got the chance to play in school. Therefore, I decided to join scouting talent program in the school. We formed a team (KICK OFF) that became successful and won many championships. As the team captain, I gained good leadership skills. I ensured that everyone on my team was granted an opportunity towards success. My parents helped me to get sponsors to finance my team's activities and managed to impact the locals positively.

KICK OFF, and my humble background motivated me to become an entrepreneur. I was not demoralized by the fact that I could not make it in football. Albert Einstein is my role model, and I wish to follow his footsteps towards success.

I am currently working on a project to establish a courier company for young adults on the streets of Dar es Salaam. There are numerous young adults on the streets of Dar es Salaam who are jobless and can be mobilized to do that work.

I attended a summit this summer hosted at Stanford University in California that is called Camp BizSmart. I got the chance work with an existing company in Silicon Valley and learned various technological skills. That was the most challenging experience in my life. The motivation and encouragement I gained from this summit made me venture into educational projects. Since then I have never been convinced my school's curriculum, and I am constantly looking new curriculums like that offered by Wellington college.

One of my concern was poaching of elephants. Motivated by this, I dedicated my grade five final exhibitions to raising the alarm over elephant poaching. I went ahead to write several articles in newspapers and publications about poaching and started an initiative to save the elephants. I also got a chance to interact with the former president of Tanzania in the process. The project enabled me to develop instincts of a champion. Up to date I still contribute to writing articles about elephant poaching in the country.

I also love mathematics, and in the summer, I was admitted to the Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY- Math) at Stanford University. Beside mathematics I also enjoy science. In 2013, I also took part in the Great Books program where students from across the world come together to read, discuss and debate selections from the greatest works of literature. It was a fantastic opportunity for me to improve my communication skills. My intelligence made me relate the themes with my life.

I also love sports like football, basketball, volleyball, tennis. And table tennis. I represented my school in Model United Nations (MUN) and Community and Service (CAS). These are some of the extracurricular activities I took part in after school to improve my life skills. CAS also improved my debating skills and impacted my life positively.
