Introduction
Vaping is a physical activity that is similar to smoking, but the user does not inhale smoke but an aerosol product. Mostly, it is misinterpreted as smoking because of how it is ousted. E-cigarettes in the form of vapor pens, mods, and personal vaporizers all involve vaping.
The Pros of Vaping
Vaping has various advantages, including it helps in eradicating smells and odors that are associated with smoking cigarettes. Cigarette smoke contains oils, tars and other products that cigarettes release. The odors which can make the clothes and breathe to smell. Vaping employs various flavors which makes it enjoyable for everyone who is around (Stratton et al., 2018).
The other benefit is that vaping helps to alter the personal perspectives of people. Many people who smoke cigarettes feel stuck because they are unable to exercise, eat healthily or make improved life decisions. Vaping tends to improve obesity, depression and other severe problems that are associated with smoking
Vaping also saves money because the starter kit used for vaping costs the user half the price of a carton of cigarettes. The user only requires to replace the coil head and the juice. It is estimated that a smoker could save up to $1200 per year (Stratton et al., 2018).
Vaping also helps to eliminate some stubborn symptoms such as coughing, mood swings, nausea and also helps to improve the sense of smell. After a person quits smoking and adopts vaping, it can help address some of the respiratory and bodily issues that they face.
Further, the experience of vaping is smooth compared to smoking, especially for those who like marijuana. Further, vaping uses more friendly tools that can be adjusted to meet the correct temperatures and for the experience to be more pleasurable. Further, vaping is beneficial as the user can decide at any time to discontinue his vaping endeavor compared to smoking which requires a person to throw away a cigarette if he/she is unwilling to continue. Vaping also is advantageous because vaporizers can roast any herb, therefore, creating fewer odors.
The Cons of Vaping
The disadvantage of vaping is that it still makes a person to have a dry mouth because of the presence of nicotine stimulant. The dry mouth can be an issue such that some vapers can back to smoking cigarettes. The other problem with vaping is that it can cause a person to feel dizzy because of the consumption of nicotine. Further, people who engage in vaping receive a negative comment, especially if they participate in the behavior in public since most people believe that it is smoking. Vaping also exposes a person to harmful conditions such as exposure to lead, carcinogens, nitrosamines and others. Therefore, vaping is equally dangerous or worse than smoking. Vaping also reduces indoor air quality since it upsurges alumunium, particulate materials and other materials that are harmful to health (Gordon, 2019).Vaping also poses a challenge because of the battery safety issues of the vaporizer which can result in death or injury when trying to recharge it. It is also possible for people who start vaping to experience allergic reactions, primarily due to propylene, which is a vital ingredient of the juices. The side effects of vaping also include irritation.,inflammation, and toxicity. The products and the industry is highly unregulated, and this has a risk to consumers who may use products that are harmful to them due to lack of rules and regulations to control what is done in the market.
