Introduction
What is the next buildup for machine learning, and how can they be applied in healthcare? How can health data be secured using contemporary security technologies? These are thoughts that enthrall me and would like to understand them in a manner where it will be easy for me to discuss and share the ideas and conceptions with any interested individual.
I am attracted to this university because it is a renowned research institution and a place where I can expand my knowledge and expertise in study development, approaches, and tools that could help me advance my competence and effectiveness in data management in the health industry. My desires for furthering my education are best presented in the words of Donato Diiorio, who is quoted by Merrill Research. "Without a methodical way to twitch and keep data clean, bad data will happen." Predominant among the new tools of data modeling is Oracle, which has made it possible to achieve more as never before. This is a breakthrough that is widely used by modern applications integrating data. I cannot imagine what is yet to be achieved and how I will understand these new models as we begin working together.
I developed an interest in health informatics studies during my employment as an EPIC credential consultant trainer. In this role, I provided Ambulatory, Cadence, PB Billing, and Radiant support to various clinics and leading hospitals along with inpatient modules such as ADT/ Prelude, Ambulatory, ASAP, ClinDoc, CPOE, Optima, Anesthesia, Beaker, and HB, and PB Billing. I also actively participated in the conversion team and abstracted clinical data. While performing analysis at various hospitals, I realized there was a problem with data storage where patient information was stored multiple times. This issue has resulted in wastage of time, money, and other resources on emptying deduplicated data for support and analytics that could improve healthcare outcomes. Fascinated by this discovery, I researched and realized the importance of having data in a readily accessible and instant format. Modern technology has not been satisfactorily implemented in the health sector as far as data is concerned. Besides, the majority of health institutions still uses traditional paper-based tools to data storage. Hospitals that use modern technology have multiple systems that are not interconnected to work in liaison hence the issue of data duplication. This discovery has enabled me identify an opportunity to leverage information technology to improve the efficiency of data in healthcare.
Since graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Science, I have been longing to choose a specialized field. My work experience and coming in contact with various health facilities have offered an opportunity to explore such an option. Equipped with my interest in informatics, I have carried out individual exploration over the internet and library with the aim of looking for possible solutions of data flow within healthcare industry. To my discovery, the K-12 education system within the nation encountered similar problems as well. It was poignant to note the parallels in procedures as well as matters between the healthcare industry and the education space. For example, both sectors are controlled by the government with its heavy involvement in funding. Also, the two industries have scrappy infrastructure for IT solutions that work as silos for data storage and not interconnected to function together. However, the education sector long solved the issue with an impressive result that has helped improve learner's outcome and the effectiveness of educators. This has been made conceivable through the development of a combined technology platform that provided solution to the data needs of administrators, parents, educators, and learners. With my little research, I gained significant insight into an issue that is affecting the health sector and an understanding of application design and development of software solutions to data mismanagement. This discovery introduced me to the ambiguity of information learning that I would like to study from a professional who is undoubtedly found at this university.
I look forward to earning my Master in Health Informatics with the understanding that in such a broad field, there is a lot to learn. I have examined the opportunities available from various institutions of higher learning, but none of them is as intriguing as yours. In deciding to apply for this university, I have been influenced by the positive reports that I found about the institution in the way your research programs address health informatics and information technology issues. I desire to provide research and administrative input into issues that affect the health industry. Ideally, I intend my graduate research to cover the issue of data deduplication and its solution within the health sector. I understand that Dr. Xyzzy, the senior lecturer assigned to this course, has conducted various studies on health informatics. Her past and current pursuits are impressive. It would be an honor to be part of a team that mirrors the immense knowledge about Health Informatics and resolutions to its issues that she possesses. I believe that once part of her team, I will be able to make practical contributions and learn from the challenges the studies she conducts provides. I hope you will offer my submission a sincere consideration.
