The number of older people of age above 75 years is on the rise in the United Kingdom. As a result, the number of these individuals is expected to increase, i.e., double in the coming two decades. Therefore, the government of the United Kingdom has invested a lot of money and resources in the form of workforce and budget to support the care of the older people in an attempt to decrease the mortality rates. The people in the elderly group are most likely to suffer from dementia. They consist of individuals who often find it challenging to conduct several daily tasks; also, these individuals may possess some forms of ailments or disability, the situations that need special care. Dementia is a condition that is associated with the reduction in memory, inability to carry out daily chores as well as the decrease in thinking skills. In the project seek to analyze if the medical facilities in the United Kingdom if older adults with dementia receive the best possible treatment and care. In addition to the above objective, within the framework of the project, there is the analysis of the most common issues faced by the inpatients who have dementia, the reasons why these issues are occurring as well as the possible solution that can be employed to enhance medical delivery. The project's primary aim is to evaluate whether the needs of older people who have dementia in inpatient settings within the United Kingdom are met adequately. The project will take the quantitative approaches whereby there will the design of the study, the data collection processes, analysis, and presentation of the results. The process would take six months, with the emphasis put in patients not only in the hospitals but also in care homes.
The project is essential as it will also aid in addressing the consequential and common diseases that affect the older people of above 75 years. Also, when the project is appropriately funded, it will aid in the identification of appropriate measures that the government of the United Kingdom can take to reduce the prevalence of diseases. As a result, the project will enhance the creation of awareness on the appropriate measures that can be taken to reduce the incidences of not only dementia but also other diseases that are associated with the old age. While conducting the research, the data collection and analysis will be the conclusion of the entire research project as it will address the research objectives, aims as well as the questions. Also, the results will justify the methodology. In the continuously dangerous world that is associated with the increase in diseases and disorders that comes with non-communicable diseases, it is necessary to establish the root-cause as well as the type of care that is required. This enhances the growth of a healthy population, not only the older people but also other people, the younger and Middle generation. When the research is fully funded and implemented, the government will have an opportunity to establish Medicare and intervention measures that can be taken to prevent the incidences of dementia among the older population. Ensuring safety for patients in acute health care settings is a common global health challenge. Conventionally, the safety of patients has been centered on the surgical and critical care patients.
