Well, people who think that getting everyone on the team is comfortable, may not understand how tedious it could be, facing inconsiderable, meanest and worst students. Usually, there are more or less challenging students and only institutions that do not care about students or teachings never encounters the worst. In the way of thinking, some academics view every student as a bothersome, distraction and opt to ignore them so that to stay on task. The worst student is that who runs counter to the most in-depth care of a teacher, and this somehow explains why bad teachers do not have worst students. Caring is pedagogical of all virtues, and it enables the existence of different types of students.
The Bully Students: - Bullying is often defined as the imbalance of power and happens when some people hurt others on purpose. Bullies hurt other students to feel better, which is plain pathetic, and do not realize that what they are doing is wrong. Typically, teachers face difficulties in dealing with such behavior as it occurs in different forms, physical or insults. To some extent, students of this sort are uncontrollable especially when they work in groups to gang up on others. In other cases, colleges students can take advantage of materials such as technology to text or mail hurtful messages, and this is known as cyberbullying (Mishna et al., 2014). As some reasons, students can bully when they feel bad about themselves, fear of being bullied by others, so they prefer to attack first or to stereotype a group.
Attention-seeking students: - A category of these students want to be heard whether they have a substance to add or not, and they want to listen often. In most cases they dominate discussions even without the relevant information, thinking that they make valuable points. The worst a teacher can do to these types of students is publicly declaring them to know less or try to undermine their reasoning in whichever way. Otherwise, it could be a disaster, imposing a feeling of rejection and the best approach is to control entire class to maintain a balanced discussion. In that way, all students can feel significant and comfortable to add to a conversation. Attention seeker student does things continually to get people's attention and sometimes could be very annoying especially to teachers. For instance, a child can blurt out to say what he or she did or what others are doing like copying their work. According to Bushman (2017), some students feel that they have much to prove and desires to become famous, especially in colleges level.
Teacher's pet students: - Some students like to be the apple of their educators' eye, and this gives them an upper hand above others in the class. Many students of this type strive to earn teacher's respect and appreciation while stereotyping the rest group as extras in the class. Well, I would say that in most cases the habit can begin with a teacher, prioritizing certain students over others for instance in answering or delegating roles. However, other instances students end up taking advantage to possess a feeling of being most important. Educators can praise student's hard work, but it does not entitle them to become the favorites and neglect others. At a glance, many bullying cases get attributed to this habit of being educators' favorite students due to a feeling of being superior to the rest of class.
