Notably, the goals of AG-PCNP education is to provide mental and physical health care, social support and recuperative care of adult patients (King, Boyd, Dagley, & Raphael, 2017). Furthermore, the education preparation evaluates how these issues affect the adult patient's community, family and even the environment he or she is living in. the core mission of AG-PCNP education on nurses is to actuate them with skills to stabilize the adults and minimalize the adult's psychological and physical problems so as to improve their health either at when aging or at the aging life.

The AGNP nurses enjoy more benefits than the normal clinical nurses as they are entitled to higher salaries while working as an independent practitioner without physician supervision. Some of the diseases they train to handle include HIV/AIDS and diabetes while others specialize in health policies and Palliative care to the patients. This gives them a wide range of working opportunities since there are many adult people with such conditions. However, the adult-gerontology nurse practitioners are categories either as primary care nurses or acute nurses based on the nurse specialty ("Role of Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioners," n.d.). The Acute care nurses are specialized in treating diseases, especially in inpatients hospitals to treat acutely sick patients. Moreover, the main role of acute nurses is to restore the patients' health through the provision of preventing aids and palliative care.
