Technology Advancement

Curriculum implementation is a crucial activity in the broader field of educational development in the country. Nevertheless, upon the growth of the education sector, dating back from the previous centuries, there is a clear indication that technology advancement has affected the educational industry both positively as well as negatively. Through this action, a good number of crucial researchers have come into a consensus that social media is seen to swiftly increase for the last few decades (Ballantine, Hammack, & Stuber, 2017). With the internet being the catalyst, various social media sites have been innovated, where multiple websites and applications have been availed.

Through the innovation of the high number of social media sites, we have seen the presentation of the right amount of social media sites. These sites include Whatsapp, Twitter, as well as Facebook. These sites are readily available in various electronic devices such as the android and Apple enabled mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. However, mobile phones, due to their low prices and availability are highly used by the higher number of scholars (Raut, & Patil, 2016). Scholars, who range from the lower level of education to the tertiary institutions, use mobile phones on a higher percentage.

The Relevance of Social Media in the Educational Sector

Considerably, social media is of higher importance to a higher percentage of an educationist. However, a good portion of both teachers and students have been addicted to the use of these devices, where during their free time, they just log in to their social media sites. At this juncture, they are expected to interact with their colleagues. Wherein, in some instances, they do share a piece of advice, education materials and making new academic friends from various colleges and universities all along with the universe (Ballantine, Hammack, & Stuber, 2017). Conversely, despite recording positive deviation, higher use of social media sites has translated to poor rapport in consideration of the education sector.

Negative Impacts of Social in the Education Sector

Primarily, social media sites have recorded a higher level of addiction. Being addicted to various websites indicate that during any present free time, the scholar instead of doing her research work, with crucial reference to studies, she ought to log in his various accounts such as Linkedln, Twitter or instead of Facebook where she might opt to chat or look multiple updates which are not educational related. Addiction to the social media site directly affects the different profitable activities, where this time could be used to undertake other positive curriculum development tasks. Moreover, there is a need to consider that work without play makes Jack a dull boy, where the students tend to spend much of their time scrolling on their social media sites, where they are seen to forego some of the co-circular activities (Chugh, & Ruhi, 2018). They also tend to ignore productive talks, thus ignoring the worldly realities.

Presence of Face Social Media Sites

Globally, through close reference to the internet and various sites subscription, there are a good number of fake social media sites. The fake social media sites recently have been seen to have a negative impact on the higher number of curriculum implementers. This action denotes that there are sites with fake accounts, which in reality do entice the high number of scholars, where they tend to pretend that they can offer a solution to the students, more so in the issue regarding their examinations (Amin, & Rajadurai, 2018). This way, they lure the high number of scholars, where in return, the students are conned high amounts of dollars. Similarly, the high number of teachers have also are culprits of this activity. Due to the laziness of a good percentage of educationists, they are lured into buying typed notes, which are summarized, making their classwork easier (Chugh, & Ruhi, 2018). They are thus enticed through being sent partial part of these soft notes, where after configuring the partial part is correct, they are requested to send the full amount of money wherein return they are expected to receive the full copy. In return, they are blocked from accessing the account of the owner, wherein back, the educationist develops stress, which in performance leads to depression and also living in denial.

Grammatical Errors

Due to the high popularity of social media communication, a higher number of individuals tends to use all means of shortening but passing a clear message. Through this, a high amount of scholars are seen to develop a high level of grammatical problems, which leads to poor spelling. The action is catalyzed by the presence of a high level of the emerged mode of text messaging, which does not consider the clarity and typing of words but only passing of the intended message (Raut, & Patil, 2016). When this kind of action is translated in the lecture rooms or any kind of educational forum, poor results are recorded more so in the department of languages, although other disciplines are also affected.

Reduction in the Educational Focus

A good percentage of students are seen to have a negative aspect of education. Although they are among the key members in the implementation of the school curriculum, they ought to have harmful ideologies. The action is seen to be more enticing, where the students do rely on social media sites to access vital information. This includes the aspect of requesting answers from their online colleagues, an action that indicates the students don't want to learn through discovery (McKenna, Myers, & Newman, 2017). Further, the movie shows that the student fears their teachers, where they are supposed to consult them and seek out concrete and explained the solution to their educational problems.

The Decrement in Knowledge and Information Retaining

Social media has, on a higher percentage, led to the reduction of information, knowledge, and skills learned. The main action is seen to be led by the presence of readily available solutions online. Additionally, the ability to determine the will and spending a higher percentage of time doing research has dramatically reduced. The action has translated to the ease of acquiring information through social media. In contrast, the conflict leads to the presence of half-baked graduates, where the graduate becomes incompetent in the delivery of their content and required skills in the job market (Amin, & Rajadurai, 2018). The action indicates there is a problem with the matter of curriculum development, where the studies are seen to be more examination-oriented.

Reduction in Academic Performances and Effective Communication

A good number of curriculum implementers are always seen to multi-task, where they do check on their social media accounts and the same, they are undertaking their studies. This shows that they shall record a drop or a reduction in their educational performances. In the case of the teacher, there is a reduction in the content deliver since there is no time to prepare for the lessons. Moreover, there is a total distraction that is brought about by a lack of concentration (McKenna, Myers, & Newman, 2017). Similarly, a higher number of students do fail to develop concrete and reliable communication skills, since most of the time, instead of socializing and also undertaking verbal communication, they tend to spend much time on social media.

Conclusion

Conclusively, the study with close reference to the stated problem has indicated that the high number of educationist has been negatively affected by social media. Therefore, it's a wakeup call to all stakeholders, including the curriculum developers, to set aside and develop a syllabus that will show and criticize high usage of social media. The study also leaves a gap behind on the way through which this fatal problem can be solved and save the scholars from this developing trap of social media
