Therefore, patients should team up with the doctors and nurses to communicate effectively in terms of the vein to insert the central line and wash hands appropriately before handling the central line (Haddadin & Regunath, 2017). Additionally, patients should ensure the central line is 100% clean, therefore, ask the providers to clean your skin with a sterilizer

The hospital should ensure it has informed its nurses and doctors on the hospitals policies. That the patients at the hospitals assets (Bloodstream Infection Event, 2018). Additionally, it should be noted that they should be handled with care no matter how annoying or rude the patient is.

The dressing of patients should be done using clean gloves and sterilized equipment. Gauze dressing should be changed at least after every two days. Patients above 18 years old should be dressed using a chlorhexidine-soaked dresser that is labeled FDA to reduce CLABSI as well as prevention instructions.
