Introduction

The registered nurses consist of the largest group of medical professionals globally who work as nurse managers. This group of professionals has a very crucial rule in the policymaking processes in the nursing and entire health sector. They are in the position to create inspiration and influencing the positive changes within the public health and also the administrative areas within the local operations and at the state levels. Despite their continued efforts in the provision of nursing care effectively, the RN has developed a growing role in the development of clinical policymaking, analysis, advocating, and interpretation of these policies. Within the local, federal, and state offices, NR holds both appointed and elected offices as healthcare workers for companies, and also voluntarily commit to working for various boards and committees that play the overseer roles decision-making processes ("How Nurse Managers Play A Role In Policy Decision-Making," 2019).

Registered nurses can earn a doctor of nursing practice degree and pick up the role of nursing manager. Therefore, they can make informed choices during the decision-making processes that influence the policy within healthcare. Besides, holding an advanced degree gives the graduate doctors the capability to gain the necessary knowledge, experience, and expertise that they use in shaping the health care future of that would create a significant impact on several people's life. Also, for the betterment of the patients' care, the leaders within the nursing profession state that it requires the ethical and moral responsibility of the registered nurses to take part in the policymaking during the decision-making processes.

Research also shows that there is an urgent need for the voices of registered nurses during high levels of policy formation and the making of a viable decision within the healthcare sector. Further, having well-informed and confident nursing practitioners and leaders helps the world to make health a reality for the billions of people since these nurses understand their critical contributions towards assisting humanity. The evolving roles of NR in the clinical sector may also involve overseeing the personnel and budgeting processes, which are among the components of the nursing policy. Therefore, such roles extend to participation in policymaking at all levels in the organization. Moreover, the nursing leaders act as agents of change since they coordinate the activities involving the staff members and the management on the implementation of new policies and all the necessary procedures at all the departmental levels (Milstead, & Short, 2019).

On macro-scale levels, the clinical organizations position the nursing managers to influence policies that would create positive impacts on all sizes and types of the surrounding communities. Therefore, among the top priorities of the activities for nursing professionals is the engagement in the policy initiative and leading in the changes of policy. Moreover, the participation in the policymaking processes helps in shaping up the voluntary work that creates standards of performance to the providers of healthcare, the government, and other parties that are interested in the safety and well-being of the patients (Milstead, & Short, 2019).

Moreover, the policy issues for professional nurses may involve an offering of services through licensing installation of nursing facilities in the areas of high demand and providing an environment that supports healthy practices.

In essence, the RN has a leading role in shaping-up the policymaking processes in any clinical organization within the local, federal, and state governments. They act as the key pillars who hold a crucial role in the determination, analysis, and interpretation of the policies within healthcare. Again, these nurses determine the favorable choices that suit the decision-making processes in terms of the betterment of the patients' care. Hence, the clinical institutions rely significantly on the support of the NR in the formulation of healthcare policies that will create an impact on the patients, employees, the institution, and the surrounding communities.
