The first step in fire safety should be to educate the people concerned on how to avoid starting fires by accident. Students and the school staff can attend mandatory classes on fire safety. At the end of the classes, they can be encouraged to become fire safety ambassadors. An incident that can be pointed out from the video is one where one of the students describes how he left candles on overnight. It was an innocent act, but with fatal consequences. The students should be taught against leaving lit candles unattended.
