Plans are essential for they help us to focus on our objectives. A successful life needs a great sense of direction, and plans are important in providing a direction. Apart from providing direction and focused objectives, a plan enhances one's decision-making process. Life is short, and it is essential to lead a meaningful life with no regrets; hence, my plans for the future will cater for the uncertainties of life and guide me through a life full of happiness.

In the next three to five years, I see myself to have graduated with a degree in general studies and holding my first job. I intend to work as a copywriter, where I will be creating content for the promotion of products and services of given companies. During the first year after my graduation, I wish to work for a single company so that I can gain experience. After one year, I intend to work independently for multiple companies. Freelancing pays and gives someone autonomy of work, and most of all, I will be able to balance my life accordingly. I am passionate about traveling; hence, I would like to travel the world, explore the different cultures, and capture the amazing sceneries. I believe traveling the world would help enhance my creativity, something that is crucial in content writing.

When it comes to content writing, I believe that my talent in conversation is ideal. I tend to mesmerize people with my speech. I am also inquisitive and I believe a copywriter needs to curious and adventurous to explore different ways of researching a topic. Apart from being a good conversationalist, I am also good at writing, which makes my communication skills excellent. I am the kind of person who values time and meeting deadlines is not a problem for me. My curiosity has developed my ability to attend to details and enhanced my research skills. In content writing, all these skills are significant for one to succeed.

I hope that my general studies degree would enable me to attain flexibility and adaptability in all situations of my life. Vickers (1997) was of the view that the most valuable asset of a student from his or her college years is the adaptable and flexible quality of mind. One needs to be capable of adapting to every circumstance. Adaptation is achievable if one has liberal thinking and is flexible in their way of thinking. Vickers (1997) also explained that a flexible, adaptable quality of mind stretches in new directions, learns repeatedly, and is always ready with confidence for the unfamiliar and unknown. Copywriting needs a flexible and adaptable mind, and if I am to excel in this career, then I have to attain this capability from my degree.

I intend to accommodate, master, and appreciate the value of seeing things from different perspectives after my studies. Tiefenthaler (2013) believed that the world is rapidly changing and that young people need to be expert collaborators and communicators as they see things from different perspectives. In preparation for future jobs, minds need development to be comfortable with different ideas and cultures. Minds cannot be liberal, adaptable, and flexible if they cannot appreciate the difference in cultures and ideas. One needs to be well rounded and be in a position to change accordingly, make friends and partners, and solve problems.

Conclusion

In conclusion, my plans are all for catering for uncertainties and leading a happy life. Seeing things from different perspectives and having a flexible, adaptable mind are my objectives during my school years. My communication, research, and curiosity skills, together with these objectives, will be great tools for achieving a meaningful, happy life as a freelance copywriter who travels the world.
