Introduction

Blunt force injury is a physical non-penetrating trauma to a body part caused by an impact or any form of physical attack. By definition, trauma involves injuries resulting from sudden exposure from the organism to a source of energy or the absence of elements vital for the life as oxygen and heat (Delannoy, Becart, Colard, Delille, Tournel, Hedouin, & Gosset, 2012). Injuries are produced by the transmission of energy that applied over one's body suddenly. This transmission may cause different types of injuries.
