Introduction
Today in the dynamic health technology, the system plays a useful role in the health of patients. Use of the information technology (HIT) to advance results and care of patients is an increasingly used process. The technological health records increase and improve the efficiency, safety, and quality of care in patients. Some nurse scientist is growing and advancing the work mainly by use of electrical health records, telehealth and decision support. Use of HIT which is an invention of nurses to improve the efficiency, quality, and safety of patients (Gellert, Ramirez and Webster, 2015). Nursing informatics is a field that comprises of nursing information science and computers to develop and maintain medical systems and date to support the act of nursing and to advance care results. Technologies that have evolved due to the nursing informatics and health care include; electronic medical records and computerized provider order entry (CPOE). Techniques that have progressed due to nursing and health care informatics include; electronic medical records (EMRs) and computerized provider order entry (CPOE).
Examples of Communication Blocks
Three blocks of nursing communication are knowledge, data, and information. Data includes the direct observation that does not require interpretation such as age, vital signs, disease history, and patient's name. Data is recorded that is already interpreted it includes, the percentage of patients care intervals in outpatient clinics and the occurrence of hospital-acquired infections by care element. Knowledge is a combination of information to recognize relationships that offer further observation of a subject. It includes data such as the effects of patient-nurse ratios and patient consequences and developing care procedures. Nurse informatics helps to advance information and communication technologies in a health care. They also assist as researchers, educators, chief nursing officers and software engineers. Via the blocks above them support, improve evidence-based procedures and policies for organizations.
Importance of Nursing Informatics Technology
Nurses need information to take care of patients safely. They need to be in a position to access imaging results, medical histories, interdisciplinary/physician and imaging, and lab results team note so that they can get an image of the patient's clinical rank. They also use this information to make choices professionally to develop patient care consequences (Kleib, Simpson and Rhodes, 2016). Nurse informaticists along with other health care informaticists play a critical character in the continuous improvement and development of health care technology. Communication is one of the vital features of the security of patients.
The involvement of nurse informaticists in improving and developing technology, for example, computerized provider and medical records are crucial, and it helps to reduce health care charges, medical errors and patient care suspension. In this era, the software exists in such a way the providers click a button, and the collect medication frequency and dose are carefully chosen. Moreover, some programs help to check orders against patients identical and sensitivities orders to later protect the safety of the patient.
This kind of technology increases the efficiency, as this system are designed on electronic health record which can help nurses answer questions rapidly, look on patient's information without the use of effort and chart widely (Graban, 2016). Everything from automated blood pressure manacles to telemetry is deliberated informatics tools, and they can assist in keeping the health of a patient safe. Nurses have a lot of monitoring and track on this equipment. This healthcare and equipment technology such as telemetry screens makes it possible for the nurses to be engaged and present with the patients, and also they help to reduce errors.
