Introduction

I studied at King Faisal University in Dammam City for my diploma course. I graduated from King Faisal University in 2010 with a Diploma of Higher Education, Medical Secretary & Transcription, after which I worked as a secretary and an office director. I have experienced many systematic changes at my workplace, especially patient safety and quality. These experiences pushed me to further my education and complete my degree in health informatics. My aspiration to complete my degree was led by the desire to automate many systems within a hospital. The urge was pushed by the vision of providing an integrated system that would serve all patients in Saudi Arabia. I had ambitions to improve most healthcare sectors for addicted patients such as neurology pathology paints and sicklier patients. In 2017, I graduated from Saudi Electronic University with a Bachelor of Science, Health Information.

I worked at King Fahad Hospital in Hofuf from January 2011 to January 2013 as an office director in the Medical Directors Office. As an office director, I supported directorate teams in facilitating all projects and administration. I analyzed service performance reporting in the quality of service and risk strategies. I ensured that all hospital staff reported their quality of service performance. Therefore, I managed to improve the quality of care at the hospital since all staffs had to report their service performance

From January 2013 to August 2016, I worked as a Quality & Patient Safety Specialist at King Fahad Hospital – Hofuf. In my new role, I generated OVR, quarterly, and annual reports on quality and patient safety. The reports were crucial in ensuring that the hospital provided high-quality care and patients' safety. I produced statistical analysis of King Fahad Hospital’s performance, quality management, and compliance. The statistical analysis recorded the performance of the hospital and helped improve quality of care and patients’ safety. I supported all administrative and communication releases on quality and patient strategies.

I transferred from King Fahad Hospital to King Fahad Specialist Hospital, Dammam in August 2016. I have been working as a Risk Management Analyst since then to date. I have been leading the change to transform the hospital reporting from manual to automated systems. I have been delivering Occurrence Variance Reports (OVR) in quality. I am a member of the General Hospital Safety Committee and Safety Culture Committee. The committee trains all hospital staff the significance of promoting patients’ safety and encourage them to adopt safety culture to ensure patients’ safety.
