Introduction
Interprofessional collaboration is a term majorly used in the medical field. This is a situation in which different doctors and nurses with diverse qualification, come together and analyze the situation of a patient to come up with the right medication (DeLeon, 2015). For this technique to work, there should be, effective communication, responsibility, accountability, and cooperation. On the other had collaboration fashion is a situation where different fashion designers seek to partner with others who have a good market brand for them to be able to establish their brand too (Jocic, 2018).
With my experience when I once worked in a collaborative fashion, I was able to note that there are differences and similarities between interprofessional collaboration and fashion collaboration.
Both interprofessional collaboration and collaboration fashion are similar in the sense that they aim at coming up with a perfect solution which will impress the client (DeLeon, 2015). When medical specialists reason together, they always find a medical remedy which will treat the patient, in collaboration fashion, various designers incorporate their skills and design a cloth which will satisfy their clients, or they produce different products which will match perfectly with the products of other designers.
In both collaborations, there is involvement of more than one person with each having different skills. For interprofessional collaboration to be sound, it has to bring more than two people into action. Each one of them should be well informed in a certain field of medicine, while in the fashion industry different personnel who have skills in designing a certain product come together and blend in their skills to design a unique product which will catch the eye of client thus posting of high sales.
Despite the similarities between Interprofessional collaboration and collaboration fashion, there exists a difference between the two. Interprofessional collaboration involves personnel who are specialized in the field of medicine only while in collaboration fashion; it is not necessary that you are skilled in a specific field like cloth designs, the person who is skilled in shoe design can be incorporated (Jocic, 2018).
Collaboration fashion main aim is to reach out to a large pool of clients while in interprofessional collaboration, the major aim is to be able to come up with elaborate and effective medication for a certain disease to treat a specific patient.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is worth to note that, when different professionals come together in solving a common problem, there is a high chance that the solution reached will solve the problem at hand. Collaboration enables one to gain more knowledge in different fields.
