Introduction
Innovation remains a fundamental part of the healthcare system. The field of healthcare continues to evolve, and through that, it needs a higher level of technological innovation that will enhance the nature of services that patients receive. The disruptive model focuses on the possible damages that innovation might cause within the organization or healthcare facilities (Christensen, Bohmer & Kenagy, 2000). It is important that the choice of innovation should not destroy or interfere with the existing technology, but instead, it should work to improve the existing technological system in a manner that it seeks to offer efficient service. Under normal circumstance, it is important that the healthcare system through its management ensure that they put every possible strategy that will help in the realization of the healthcare goals and objectives.
In line with the selected case scenario, innovation is essential in most aspects of human life and the medical sector. Effective health innovation programs depend on the above types of models to ensure that they improve the medical system within the organization. Innovation has enhanced health information system in many possible ways. Through training, nurses will have the chance to learn and acquire knowledge on better ways that they can use the new technology and innovation system on bedside medication verification system (BMV). BMV is essential when it comes to the coding of the patient's information and to reduce the possible mistakes that most doctors are likely to make. The intended evaluation for the above types of models is asses the possible impact of the innovation on the existing technology within the organization and to analyze the possible view of the medics and the patients.
Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)
Technology acceptance theory is an information concept that analyzes how users utilize technology, especially within the healthcare sector. The theory proposes that when the user acquires a new technology, it is important to put into consideration of other members or users to adopt the same system. Currently, the technology is largely adopted in the healthcare surroundings with the aim of enhancing value and improves the efficiencies of care delivery to the patients. The ability of nurses to accept the process of medication verification systems seeks to improve the quality of services that nurses offer (Kowitlawakul, 2011). It will also lead to a reduction of possible healthcare expenses. I will use the model to describe user acceptance in the healthcare environment. It offers an opportunity to predict and know the behavioral intentions of the user needed to utilize the technology. The intended evaluation is to put effort and better comprehend the ability of the nurses to accept the new technology within their system.
The Benefit of the Models
One of the benefits of the model is the fact that they provide a lens under which innovation remains an essential factor with the organization. The models on technology and innovation are both fundamental when it comes to enhancing system performance service quality. The models further provide a reason behind which doctors and physicians should work to appreciate technology and innovation within their organization in a way to help improve the required services. Another advantage of the above types of models is the fact that they will help in the realization of the healthcare goals and objectives, which are improved healthcare services at a relatively reduced cost.
