As a result, I have been exposed to healthcare environments from an early age. Besides, I have always been fascinated by the compassion and kindness of nurses. Their hard work in helping and taking care of the most vulnerable, ill and also those with special needs or medical attention is inspiring. Nursing by definition is both an art and science under medicine. Thus, most of the activities and responsibilities if not all are related to biology and communication. To be a nurse, therefore, I have to do very well in my Academics and score at least an average GPA of 3.8 in all my classes and score an A in biology and chemistry. I also have to be enrolled in a nursing college or medical school and enroll for a nursing degree or diploma. To be allowed to practice nursing, am required to register with the State to acquire a license. I will be needed to start as an intern be exposed to the real-world environment and also gain experience as well as interact with experienced nurses for mentorship and guidance.

A few months ago, my father fell ill, and he was not in a position to attend his duties. The sickness deteriorated as time went by when to extend such his nervous system was affected. As a result, he was diagnosed with temporary paralysis and his ability to walk was significantly affected. As the head of the family and the man of the house, it was challenging for him to bear the pain all by himself. As much as my mother wanted to take care of him, it proved to be difficult she was the only one left to put food on the table. Hiring a nurse was a little expensive at the time and the only option left was for me to take care of him. It did not take long before I could see my father's smile again. Am proud of the good work I did in helping my father to be back on his feet.

Most of the days start with a morning run, and body flexes. I then take a shower, dress up for the day and take my favorite meal of the day; breakfast. Depending on how tight my schedule is, I go to school first then in the afternoon volunteer in a local hospital where my mother works. Later in the evening, I will probably play basketball or chess depending on the weather before I head back home for dinner and rest.

It is a global concern that even with the advancements in technology and civilization, a considerable number of people especially in remote areas do not adhere to medication because they do not understand the importance. This catastrophe has been partly contributed by the fact majority of these remote patients have not been educated on the importance of adhering to medical advice by healthcare providers. Thus, in an attempt to solve is the problem, I will collaborate with both governmental and non-governmental organizations and agencies such as the Red Cross to help in educating these large masses on the importance of adhering to medical advice. Also, with the introduction of social media, I can contribute by using social media platforms to educate people.
