Introduction

Bullying is, of course, a global problem that has both short and long term effects on not only the victims but also the witnesses. It is termed as aggressive behaviour that is usually portrayed by repetition and imbalance of power (Hymel, & Swearer, 2015). Words like "ugly", "fat", "loser" and "failure" better define bullying. Thousands of students do witness or experience bullying at least once in their life. The people watching bullying incidences from the sideline are afraid to intervene since they don't want themselves to be victims too. This is very, unfortunately. Allow me share with you a short story. I had a friend of mine called Martinez, who had been a victim of bullying, and there is something he told me about his case, that is very sad. He said: "I don't even remember the words of that bully, but I can recall the silence of my friends and peers who were watching from a sideline." This is not strange to many of us, but what brings about this silences; why don't people stand to condemn bullying? Bullying is a behaviour that is destructive to all engaged, and even those who are not involved. Therefore, it should not be allowed anywhere in school systems (Hymel, & Swearer, 2015). Several spectra must understand bullying in schools. Fortunately, studies over the last few decades or so has afforded many answers- however, there is still a lot to follow on how the resolutions can be implemented to handle and eliminate bullying in schools.

What is more significant to note about this damaging behaviour can occur anywhere anytime and to anybody. For instance, parents think that apart from their homes, schools are another safer place that provides a secure environment for their kid to study. Unfortunately, this is not the case in many scenarios. Bullying occurs in classrooms, during lunch, in parades, in playfields, laboratories, and schools events bullying will devise a strategy to reach out to the victims (Menesini, & Salmivalli, 2017). However, if we could plot proper models and theories to combat these destructive behaviours, the school could be a better place for the students. Battling bullying calls for all stakeholders; the students, parents and the teachers or education instructors. This can be achieved by initiating anti-bullying campaigns in schools. The drives should even extend to homes; parents should as well be enlightened on anti-bullying campaigns to help them be sensitive and prevent this weird behaviour at home.

Additionally, the school system should have the students sign a social contract is agreeing not to participate in any bullying spectra (Menesini, & Salmivalli, 2017). The consequences upon the breach of the contract should also be well-defined. School and employ models to evaluate the progress of bully awareness that would greatly help stop this behaviour.

Students` safety in schools comes with a lot of merits that goes without saying. You and I know this. Some researches reveal that those safe students are more successful than their counterparts who are victims of bullying. This is because that is a vivid link between social and emotional wellbeing. Now, being a victim of violence and feeling unsafe in school result in symptoms of depression, and such is bound to be a detrimental learning potential for students. A student who feels safer will be more attentive and efficient in classrooms. They will register fewer cases of fever signs such as depression, i.e. feeling unhappy and don't have time to enjoy with others (Smith, & Thompson, 2017). In the absence of bullying, students would freely interact with each other in schools making it easy for them to consult or guide each other in the academic direction. This will boost the overall grade and social interaction in schools.

Again, enhanced academic achievement and school kinship is also a crucial part of a teenagers life. Comprehensive studies have shown that students incorporated in kinship care have greater academic achievements and further participation in individual and remedial education. Strategies to halt bullying in schools has models that involve school authority and charged with equally greater roles (Smith, & Thompson, 2017). You see, if school authorities prioritise interactive roles with the students, the bullying incidence in schools will be significantly reduced. When in most case student are left to their own are, and are not monitored frequently, here is where the bullies will grab the opportunity and cast their wickedness on their fellows. Now, teachers, for instance, should participate in games activities together with peoples to reduce the freedom of bullies. Again, the school does not leave the students of their own in classes, for a more extended period without keeping watch on them. I would confidently report, that lack of interactive roles by school authorities has exposed many students to be victims of bullying (Rigby, & Johnson, 2016). You see, the students usually undergo a lot of activities, or rather involvement during the day. As a result, some educators underestimate the amount of bullying or violence they go through. But without proper intervention; without appropriate models and theories to intervene, a lot of students will continue to fall victims of bullying or violence in campuses, and this would only be revealed underperformance in academic or when they take an unfortunate decision such as suicide. Now, while the authority campaign against bullying, they should also educate the peers on how to handle the consequence that result from bullying; how they can come over such incidences if they have to happen.

In their capacities, students believe that adults and teachers are at the forefront to safeguard them from racism, discrimination, abuses, sexual harassment and all other sorts of bullying. However, this trust is gradually fading owing to the increasing bullying rate across the world (Rigby, & Johnson, 2016). Therefore, as I had put it before, all the stakeholders; students, parents and teachers should embrace proper models and theories to eradicate all sorts of bullying in schools.

Conclusion

While many people think that bullying only affects or harms the victims, it has the potential to damage the witnesses and the entire school system. For, harassment can result in a hostile environment in school could advance to riots and war among the students. In the course, school properties, reputation and even standard will be reviewed downwards. In a broad view, all people are equal, regardless of race, religion, gender, ethnicity or age; everybody deserves respect and to be treated like a human being and thus should not be, in any manner subjected to any bullying (Rigby, & Johnson, 2016). Therefore, to eradicate bullying in our learning systems, local communities, students and teachers should bestow and joint effort to stop bullying before we witness the more terrible outcome of bullying such as suicides or arsons within the learning systems.
