The service delivery models are used for delivering the various requirements for the coordination of the diverse delivery channels. The service delivery models are adopted for describing the job that should be shared between the services provided. The services delivery are differentiated by the use of various standards, principles, policies, and constraints. The service delivery model is used for guiding the deployment, designs, retirement, and operation of the services opted to be delivered for the service provider to be viewed for offering a consistent experience. It is used to serve a specific group or community. There are three types of models of service, and they compose of Human Services, Public Health, and Medical. The service model that will be put into the discussion is the Public Health service model.
The public health model has provisions for the well being of the whole community to be treated fairly. The public health model is defined with three different distinctions. The first definition is based on the history of the various achievements, the developments, and the health successes for the public health. The second definition is based on the accomplishment of the mission of promoting mental health and physical disabilities, injuries, and diseases. In the public health model, different orientations are basing on the definitions of the model for having the most suitable model to be adopted. Notably, for example, the model utilizes the distinct features of preventing the epidemics from aiding in controlling the community against the epidemic illness. The community is being protected for the spread of the diseases in advance; therefore helping in reducing the dangers of the disease involved. The third definition is based on the ways to be adopted for coping with real-life situations. Various circumstances occur on the daily living of an individual, and thus, the public health model is used to reduce the influences of life. The model synthesizes in adopting of different learning issues in life. It, therefore, aids for the maintenance of mental and physical health. It aids in providing a suitable satisfaction for solving an individual's way of living (Holsinger, J. W. 2012).
On the other hand, the human service model focus on the provision of the services that aid a client in solving the different issues. The model, at some instances, has the assumptions that the problems are inevitable due to the following impactors; systems, environment, and the people. The issues are at some point caused by behavior, thoughts, and emotions of a given individual. The human service model equips a person with a process of solving issues for preventing the use of services. The adoption of responsibility and self-esteem remain as crucial components of human service model. The two aspects aid an individual in having the energy to deal with the issues they come in their life. The expected outcomes of both the public health model and human service model are to advance on the of a customer (Estrine, S. 2011).
The public health model composes of the primary focus on the populations. The second component of public health model is the public service ethic that is used for tempering the various concerns for the person. Thirdly, it involves the emphasis on health promotion and prevention for the community as a whole. Lastly, the model comprises an element that dwells on the paradigm of employing the spectrum of innovations that aim at human behavior, medical care, lifestyle, and the environment. For the effective working of the public health model, there are ten essential services. The essential services are provided for stable ground for training the professionals in the paradigm. The non-public civil leaders and the grassroots workers are made to work through the adoption of the ten core services that work harmoniously in fulfilling the mission of public health.
The core principles of public health model include the assurance element, policy development, and assessment. The aspect of prevention aids the public health model in avoiding chronic diseases, illnesses, and countless injuries. Saving of life and reduction of the health care cost are the pros of the model. The public health model has an approach to issue resolution and identification. The model has an essential service that monitors the status of health in identifying community health issues. There is also the identification of the diagnosis and prevention of the health issues and all the hazards of health trolling in the community. More so, the model's aid in evaluating the accessibility, effectiveness, and the quality of population and personal services basing on health. The assurance of competence of the healthcare workforce and linking of the individuals that need the health services and the assurance of the provision of the health care services are the vital roles of the public health. The theories identified in the unit 5 capture on the leadership skills and the public health model adopts them through the use of leaders to control on their workforce for delivering the best to its clients (Woodside, M. 2014).
The public health service delivery model and human service delivery model is very vital in giving the essential elements for delivering services. The public health model aids in giving the most suitable solution for different communities while services are being delivered. In conclusion, the public health model utilizes the four dimensions that are significant in-service delivery which composes of people, culture, processes, and policies.
