Introduction
Personal plans are essential in ensuring a quality life in future (Keegan, Huemann, & Turner, 2012). Education shapes the nature of our future lives. It is essential to connect design thinking, entrepreneurship, innovation in career development processes. Analysis of potential business opportunities is critical in shaping and developing my career paths. Development of appropriate mission statement is vital in determining my destiny as a business student. Business courses are essential to identify the potential opportunities to be utilized in future.
Vision and Opportunity
I am a third-year student at Zayed University. I pursue a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management. To achieve my desired goals in the field of business, I am supposed to develop a practical mission statement. My most significant concern is to improve is to identify the potential business opportunities that I can utilize after completing my undergraduate's studies. Zayed University offers the required skills required in developing an appropriate vision and identifying the potential business opportunities.
I am focusing on becoming the best Human Resource Manager in developed companies and leading other employees towards achieving quality outcomes. To attain my vision, I am supposed to study, learn, and develop appropriate skills to become successful in future. Commitment and determination are some of the central values that will contribute to my success. Also, I value virtues like efficiency, honesty, and respect because they help to my accomplishments. My mission statement is to create a historic mark in business by developing innovative plans to enhance Human Resource Management.
I developed my goals even before joining Zayed University because parents, brothers, and sisters have been advising me on the opportunities gained through studying business courses. My education and career goals are not enough for identifying appropriate business opportunities. I need to interact with people from different companies working under the Human Resource (HR) department. Networking with experienced Human Resource personnel improves my skills in the field. Professional competence and critical thinking skills are essential in guiding me towards achieving my educational or career goals. Networking with different people enables me to identify appropriate companies to do my internship program. As an intern, I will interact with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Diversity and inclusion in the Human Resource Management promote teamwork and collaboration in the organization (Keegan et al., 2012).
First, I will try to identify some of the basic requirements for becoming a Human Resource Manager. I will consult with many people about the critical aspects to consider while recruiting and retaining staff. Human Resource Management majorly deals with employee recruitment, training, and retention. Also, they can develop appropriate policies for promoting employee performances and overall outcomes in HR. Secondly, Zayed University provides many opportunities for joining workshops and competition related to my career. I am determined at utilizing the opportunities created by the university to boost my future business skills. Participating in business programs and events planned by the Administration of Zayed University is essential in developing appropriate skills and experience.
Lastly, the advertisements made by Multinational Corporations like Apple Inc. HP Inc. Samsung, and Tesla Company. Reading the articles provided by the Multinational Corporations enables me to identify essential HR components like customer satisfaction and retention, improvement of employee wellbeing, and increasing output. Different companies apply varying HR strategies and policies in controlling and coordinating their operation; therefore, analyzing will improve my skills and professional competence. Also, the concepts from the Multinational Corporations will boost enable me to improve my performances; especially in online modules offered in Zayed University.
Furthermore, I would like to volunteer in various HR events to improve my professional skills. Volunteering is essential in developing quality leadership skills that help in conflict resolution and employee retention in the organization. Many business organizations are looking for volunteers who can work with them in various fields (Keegan et al., 2012). It is vital to provide and voluntary services at Multinational Corporations because they give a lot of opportunities for interns who work excellently.
Corporate responsibility is also essential in identifying potential opportunities in the Human Resource Management (Keegan et al., 2012). I will give feedback to the community about my performances and plans. My main objective is to promote teamwork and collaboration in the HR department. I need to develop useful questions that will guide me in achieving my desired goals. My three items include: what are the essential strategies for improving my leadership skills in Human Resource Management? What are the possible approaches for achieving my goals shortly and efficiently?, and what are the operations and programs that can make me develop professional competence and experience?
Marketing and Implementation Strategy
After identifying the business opportunities in Human Resource Management, I must develop and appropriate marketing positioning statement. The statement is also essential in guiding me towards achieving my educational and career goals. The marketing positioning statement is as follows:
- For -> Multinational Corporations like Tesla, Starbucks, Apple Inc., Samsung, and HP. Inc.
- Who wants -> a focused, hard-working, flexible, determined, and honest HR personnel.
- That -> who is responsible and flexible to work at all time.
- Unlike -> other employees who failed in the interview process.
- I am -> Human Resource personnel who is volunteered for working with different Multinational Corporations. I have also received quality education extensive training at Zayed University.
I have developed different compelling values to guide me in achieving my desired educational and career goals. The compelling benefits are essential in giving appropriate feedback to the company, society, or employer. Most of the employers analyze the compelling values developed by employees during the recruitment process. My compelling values include efficiency, respect, reliability, integrity, flexibility, determination, and open-minded. Also, I am focused on leading other people as an example because HR involves the development of quality leadership qualities. Conflict resolution strategies depend on my leadership skills and my ability to interact with other people. Competitions are essential aspects of developing quality leadership skills and professional competence in Human Resource Management (Keegan et al., 2012). Also, the generated compelling values are crucial in ensuring that I interact well with my rivals.
My compelling values are unique and make me different from other university students. First, the other students in the United Arab Emirates focused on working for local companies and developing. I prefer working for Multinational Corporations because they provide varying types of business opportunities in HR. Secondly, the students from the United Arab Emirates do not engage in voluntary programs because their belief is it a waste of time. I prioritize on optional services at various organizations because they contribute to making my Curriculum Vitae (CV) impressive. Also, volunteering at Multinational Corporations enhances my experience and skills in Human Resource Management. Experience is essential aspects considered by employers during interview processes. In most cases, candidates are required to have some experience as an employment requirement.
Risks and Mitigation
Risks mitigation involves strategies used to attain the desired business success. Success is a state in which an individual has achieved his/her goals. Success is not based on the level or type of tasks performed by an individual. Success ranges from completing simple tasks to graduating. Different factors affect the ability to attain business success in Human Resource Management. The factors include insufficient resources, lack of cooperation from other related courses, and unconducive learning/working environment. A practical framework or mitigation tool should be applied to preventing the adverse effects of external factors in Human Resource Management. Leadership skills are employed in developing effective mitigation strategies.
The application of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis framework in identifying practical solutions for reducing the negative impacts of the external factors in the process of attaining business success. The analysis of my strengths is essential in determining the chances of achieving the desired business goals. It is crucial to take the weaknesses as challenges and develop solutions for improving performances. Opportunities are examined and incorporated in identifying solutions for the external problems and risks factors affecting Human Resource Management. Threats account for the identified external factors that concern me from becoming successful. I am supposed to apply my critical thinking skills obtained from volunteering skills to develop practical mitigation strategies.
SWOT analysis is a practical tool for developing quality business strategies (Kemp, 2013). Mitigation strategies are approaches developed to prevent the adverse effects of external factors in the process of achieving business success. SWOT analysis is a tool that helps in developing and implanting various risks mitigation strategies. The risks mitigation are applied in Human Resource Management to develop and retain quality staff in the organization (Kemp, 2013). Also, the mitigation strategies help me in developing solutions for the risks that interfere with achieving success. Various risk mitigation strategies have been developed to assist Human Resource Management students and personnel in attaining their goals (Kemp, 2013).
First, I will ensure a thorough understanding of my goals. As a Human Resource Management student at Zayed University, I am supposed to develop a link between my educational objectives with the career goals. I will need to consider both short and long-term plans in the risk mitigation process. The short-term plans include being determined in my studies to ensure quality academic results. The long-term plans include improving professional competence and experience through extensive voluntary programs (Kemp, 2013). Also, I will understand the objectives of the companies to offer volunteering services.
Secondly, I need to evaluate my HR capabilities. In this case, the HR capabilities include leadership skills, conflicts, resolution frameworks, and professional competence. I must develop my skills inventory to identify the approaches employed in reducing the impacts of external factors. Also, I will meet different experienced HR personnel to help me in formulating solutions for minimizing the threats encountered in the process of attaining business success. Thirdly, determine the required tools for completing a task and achieving the expected goals. In this strategy, I am supposed to liaise with other department related to Human Resource Management to identify essential policies that are significant in developing quality solutions for preventing business risks.
