Introduction
ICARE is a very crucial concept in any health setup that must be granted extreme attention, primarily for the benefit of the patients. Various health institutions usually have their missions and visions to work in line with. Still, the principal fundamental purpose often is to offer patients quality healthcare, that is relevant to their needs and demands. However, an achievement of this may prove to be uneasy in a healthcare setup where there are no inter-professionals, whose mandate is to control the critical activities by ensuring that all processes are done effectively for a quality health provision. In this discussion, a nurse operating in a company of inter-professional teams such as led nurse and lead therapist at a recovery and detox inpatient facility is considered. The nurse works correctly at night but admits that there is a sharp reduction in the frequency of making counterchecks at night hours, and so most night shift nurses rarely work to the standards or expectations (Nissim et al., 2019). To help in managing this, it is healthy to acknowledge that more inter-professionals who are more compassionate, resilient, and have enough EBP skills, needs to be installed in the healthcare, so that supervision techniques becomes so strict that, the relationships with the rest of the health workers are strengthened, and additionally, to ensure that when any adjustments are made in the use of equipment's and machines, then nurses are notified immediately to learn, adjust and appreciate the beauty of the modern innovation in the nursing field.
Compassion
The inter-professional team should always remain compassionate both to the nurses and the patients at all times. Giving out the nurses a vacation or rest from for some time is one of the examples of showing compassion to the nurses. By doing so, most nurses will fell as included in the core mission or objectives. It will boost the morale of work for the nurses; hence the patients are likely to enjoy higher quality services on demand. Inter-professionals can also train their nurses so that patients are given time before the treatment process begins on the problems that they are encountering. By doing so, it is easier to obtain a large volume of information from the patients, making the diagnosis and treatment process more straightforward.
Advocacy
An advocate can be defined in layman's language as one who pleads in the place of another for the benefits of the defended individual. Advocacy is an ethical practice that should be owned by the interprofessional so that; the rights of the patients are always respected (Potter et al., 2010). The central aim of having interprofessional in a health-based setup usually is to help in identifying these rights and making them clear to the nurses like the ones in the recovery and detox facility, so that the lives of patients are not endangered at with any of the health practices during the treatment process. So adding many interprofessional will boost the advocacy rate, hence positive adjustments in the patient outcomes.
Resilience
Resilience is another ethical nursing practice that its ownership is substantial in the field of the health profession. It refers to the ability of the nurses to cope up with the challenges they face, such as the tough experiences with the patients due to some of the complicated and stressful situations. Typically, when more interprofessional are added into the Dentox and Recovery Health Facility, such that supervision is throughout for every nurse in session, it can create time for periodical therapy for the nurses to make them stay healthy, motivated and care for by the organization's management board (Nissim et al., 2019). The offered motivation and regular therapies usually increase the resiliencies in nurses; therefore, the final patient outcomes can also be affected positively.
Evidence-Based Practice
Evidence-based practice in nursing is one of the most recent emerging trends which have improved the effectiveness of the quality of services offered to patients in health care institutions. It generally involves the application of the best evidence before making final decisions during the patient care program or duration (Wyatt et al., 2012). As nurses are the group who interacts with patients the most, and in case of any fault, then the attendant to the patient is usually contacted immediately. For this, a more experienced group of the interprofessional can be of great utility, because they have the knowledge and skills of understanding and interpreting almost all of the patient's manifestations, by relating them to particular effective and recommendable measures of treatment. So even as the nurses concentrate on the treatment tasks, interprofessional can usually do an expert analysis of available data presented by the patients to suggest and create several effective treatment plans
Conclusion
In the discussion, it has been found that iCARE that involves consideration, advocacy, flexibility, and evidence-based ethical practices can be of mass help to patients in terms of increasing probabilities of positive patient outcomes. It is believed that, through nurse-patient, nurse-interprofessional or professional-patient relationships, treatment activities and processes in the Detox and Recovery Inpatient Facility can improve significantly, so that the environment of nursing in the presence of iCARE, gains positivity to enhance patient outcomes.
