Cultural competence is an essential and useful tool that promotes culturally sensitive practices and training among cross-cultural workers. Its construction has generated intense controversy as people try to fathom its ability in addressing structural problems which are shared within a social location. Due to disenchant that has been evident as workers try to relate its aspect with issues around them in their clinical work, cultural competence has been replaced by cultural identity to address all the structural problems within the workforce (Danso, 2018). In clinical work, cultural competence allows workers to work effectively and adequately engage with the culturally adverse population as well as provide specific training procedures to clinicians to make them more culturally responsive and competent in dealing with culturally diverse clients (Lee, 2011). Corrective emotional experience is vital for the success of any workforce. Therefore, for the productive clinical workforce, the tools will be used to warrant investigation based on the work outcome. For instance, in a clinical setup, all workers will be subjected to an evidence-based process to fasten their research techniques.

Johnson and Munch (2009), argues that the formulation of cultural competence is based on the classification system which is used in describing cultural competence appears to stereotype the individual concerned thus does not reflects his or her uniqueness (Johnson & Munch, 2009). However, social work practice and cultural competency training depend on collective identities to make the process concrete. Notably, cultural humility theoretical approach provides a comprehensive way of relating different cultural diversity for an amicable understanding. For instance, it challenges standard power differentials in organizations and working relationships.

Conclusion

In conclusion, cultural competence helps in reaching all people regardless of the nature of the cultural idea. Through exploration and training, all harmful artistic beliefs can be overcome by exposing such individuals to a broader framework of cultural integration. The result is splendid, and it restores the dignity of both the cultural competency and cultural humility.
