Postmodern ethics, unlike the Christian perspective, is not limited to universal or rigid principles. Religions such as Christians tend to embrace ethical codes which are God based. The Christians also view things in a moral decree which is different from postmodernists who base theirs in evolution, atheism, and naturalism (Thacker, 2016). This two perspectives spring from a similar root but also portray a significant difference.

For example, other animals are unable to control their impulses and instincts such that if a lion feels mating or feeding it will do it without minding the place or time, human beings, on the other hand, can control theirs and ignore these urges making sense of time and place. Knowledge refers to the ability to comprehend facts and information about something or someone. Knowledge acquisition is majorly through discoveries, learning, and experiences and education (Peters, 2017). Purpose or meaning of life is relative among people and cultures. Some believe it can be answered through the understanding of our origin. Scientists claim our origin as being from a big bang, evolution as which were caused by life forms development through our history. The Ppurpose of life, in this instance, can be claimed to be the achievement of biological perfection (Peters, 2017). Religions attribute the origin of life as Gods creation, and therefore, the purpose is to reach the highest heaven in the afterlife. and worship God while in union with Him.My purpose is to seek wisdom and knowledge, realize my potential, and to do right in the world.
