Technology has been a huge factor in the fashion industry for a long time now. The recent times have, however, seen the upsurge in the influence of technology in the way fashion industry is developed and run. The development of technology, particularly in communication has seen the upsurge in the awareness level, particularly among the various consumers as well as the producers of the fashion and beauty products to the benefit of the vast consumers. Today, however, the development of the social media has been seen as a dream comet true in the fashion world. The communication has been made easier as consumers are able to get information as the palm of their hands. The establishment f such media as Twitter and Facebook has enabled fashion industries to market with ease and style.

Technology has also eased the product improvement turnaround time. the consumers are able to get in direct communication with the product producers, they are able to give their feedback which are quickly put into considerations for the betterment of the welfare of the consumers. In other aspects too, the retailers are able to showcase the trending products and market it across the globe for uniformity. Unlike in the cases here the fashion shows were the only way by which consumers were able to get information pertaining to products awareness, the modern times have seen the transformation whereby the consumers are able to live stream the events on their phones and computers. This indeed has been a huge impact on the fashion merchandising efforts.

The introduction of technology in the fashion industry merchandising expedition has also seen the increase in the rate at which the consumer demand has been met in the recent past. In this case, therefore, a lot of efforts have been put towards increasing the production speed for the products such as beauty items. The demand of the clothes has seen the introduction of machine controlled production process which a among other things helped in meeting the supply that to some extent when not controlled seen the flooding f the market with some of the cloth lines or beauty products in the market. The product shortage is today a thing of the past, thanks to the emergence of a strong technology in the fashion world.

The retail merchandise has only been made easier for the fashion industry thanks to the rise in the technology world. The emergence of the online retails stores such as Jumia and Killimall have made it rather easy for the marketing of the products. This is also cheap while the labour resource has been minimized by a large extent. Therefore, it is true that the emergence of technology is real factor in the betterment of the fashion industry.

I am of the strong opinion that technology has done the fashion industry a great deal of good rather than bad. Sufficiently, so many people have been able to access the fashion products as well as benefit from the increase in the revenue collection due to the technological merchandising practices. The communication, marketing trends as well as the improved online retail ventures all spell progress for he fashion industry. Today, the production process has become less labour intensive and the market coverage has been improved, all thanks to the fashion industry. Therefore, mine is to request all stakeholders to invest more on technology as a sole way of bettering the fashion industry.
