Part 1

Across the world, one voice plays a significant role in removing the fear that is always associated with asking for help. It is important to note that the process involves an anonymous reporting system the helps individuals to find one's one voice. For instance, when a person experiences or witnesses bullying, or being threatened or any other dangerous related activities, it is essential to report to the issue using an anonymous text or call. Besides, it is necessary always to take a stand on what is right or wrong for the good of the community. Therefore, the paper seeks to give a summary of how one voice matters and what is perceived to be right or wrong.

Every individual across the world has their unique perspective that carries with it enormous experience and learning that begs them to share vital information. For instance, teachers are often more than willing to give back to their learners but end up putting themselves in a position where their voices are drowned out by those surrounding them. Arguably, the mosaic of people's voices seems to be a fabric of how communities air out their day-to-day views. An individual's voice plays a significant role in breaking open the existing contradictions in neoliberal thought and further shows how the mainstream media has not only failed to provide better ways in which individuals can give accounts of themselves, but also in reinforcing neoliberal values (Couldry 11).

People have always lived in fear for many reasons, but with one voice, individuals have been able to air out their views effectively. For instance, bullying has been a common practice in most learning institutions, with many individuals becoming victims. However, people have established different ways by which such issues can be aired for appropriate measures to be taken. In every situation, there are always one or two individuals who would come out and speak in one voice so that they can air out their grievances.

For many of us, the work of politicians and the governments seems far removed from our day-to-day lives. This is because people occupy leadership positions but seem not to represent the interests of those who elected them. However, they often find it difficult to speak up, making most of them live in misery. Notwithstanding, speaking in one voice to articulate their views will be of great significance in such situations so that their opinions can be heard and acted upon with immediate effect.

Conclusion

In summary, people are advised to speak in one voice because "one voice matters." There are success stories of individuals speaking up and being heard. Speaking in one view is considered as the first step in overcoming fear which might be informed of bullying, being threatened, and other related activities. Therefore, people should take up the responsibility by building on their experiences to air out their views by speaking out in one voice. Overall, one voice matters because people can tell their story and in turn, get positive feedback on the challenges they face on day-to-day occasions.

Part 2. Personal Narrative: We Can Conquer Our Fear

Across the world, every person experiences fear in one way or another. It is considered as a terrible sensation that people never want to feel because of the adverse effects it has on their lives. How lucky we are that we are living in a time and place where it is often possible to avoid the things that cause fear such as occurrences of natural disasters, diseases, dangerous animals, and at least until the very end where people have to die. Despite the fear we tend to face on daily occasions, people can still afford to sit around watching television shows that bring fear. When we were kids, we were always terrified of something because every individual has their own phobias. It is important to note that such phobias may be temporal while others may keep on reoccurring in once lifetime. However, life always allows people to experience challenges in their own way, but whenever such challenges become almost impossible to complete, then they develop long term problems. Therefore, the essay is a personal narrative on how one can conquer their fear.

To start it off, I grew up with my father continually working the whole day and only ended up coming home late at night when we were all asleep. As a result, my mother was always the one left to watch over my elder brothers and me. My brothers had started schooling, and every time they came home, they always gave me news of how school was and what they had learned the whole day. However, my eldest brother kept on informing me that when I joined the school, I will be meeting a mathematics teacher who is always harsh. As a result, I kept on worrying myself before even entering the primary education level.

After finally joining primary school, I failed a mathematics test, which prompted my mathematics teacher to flog me about twenty strokes of the cane. The teacher was annoyed since I was the only student who failed the test. As a young boy, I became upset by the teachers' actions which prompted me to stop coming to school for a whole semester. My mother and brothers were a bit sceptical of my efforts but turned a deaf ear because they thought it was my childish-like behaviour. However, my dad was a bit concerned and eventually had to transfer me to another school. But that could not solve my fear, because it continued to disturb me for a long time, especially when my mathematics teacher entered the class, it usually made me uncomfortable. Personally, I was always afraid of making another mistake, which could make the teacher flog me mercilessly. As a result, I started avoiding mathematics lessons for the rest of my primary education, which negatively affected my school life.

In addition, my secondary school life was also affected by this fear because I had utterly developed a phobia for mathematics. All my friends were doing well in mathematics, but because I never attended any mathematics class, things went from bad to worse. The end result was that I failed the subject twice, which denied me admission into a university. Although my dream was to study at the university with the friends I was schooling with, everything soon came to a standstill when the results were out. Once again, my father came in handy and hired a mathematics teacher for home study so that I could pass my school certificate exams.

After struggling for quite a while, I managed to get admitted into a university, which somehow made me happy. However, I couldn’t forgive my consciousness because all my secondary school classmates were all ahead of me and graduated before me. On the other hand, the fear of mathematics made me not study the course I had always wanted to, especially after scoring low grades on the subject. At times, I have always felt that my eldest brother was the source of this problem, which has completely shattered my dream career.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I have now realized that one should have to avoid one's fears, despite being late. Learning how to overcome fears is essential rather than postponing the problem. It is important to note that running away from one fears only makes ones' problem to get worse. I have, therefore, learned that when a person overcomes a fear, the individual gains more strength to face more significant problems later in life. However, when individuals shy away from them, they become weaker to face even smaller challenges that they encounter in life.

Part 3. Argumentative Essay: Youth Violence and the Social Media

Across the world, violence, of course, is not a new concept because it has been around since the beginning of civilization. However, it seems to be a new phenomenon because of the attention that most violent crimes such as murder, rape, and assault often emanate from social media. The youth are the most affected group by social media necessitating immediate action. The child spends a great deal of hours' utilization on various social media platforms, and by far most of them have admittance to a room TV, the Internet, Personal Computer, a computer game, and a cell phone. Evidently, social media has been ingrained into the present society to a more significant extent than it is virtually impossible for individuals to take their friends seriously if they are not on any social media platform. The youth, in particular, are always in a frenzy when it comes to socializing online, which presents both negative and positive outcomes. It is, however, considered as a worrying trend among the youth because a vast majority of the famous computer games contain brutality. Therefore, the paper seeks to argue why social media contributes enormously to youth violence across the world.

Globally, there are many social media platforms the youth can choose from; some of the popular ones include Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat. As the popularity of social media platforms keeps on spreading across the world, there have been mixed feelings on how the networks negatively affect the youth from all walks of life. It is always hard to tell whether particular kinds of events have a direct effect on youth. This is because most people associate violence among adolescents emanate from mental illnesses, poverty, child abuse, and exposure to domestic and community violence. However, the truth of the matter is that youth exposure to social media violence plays a vital role in the etiologic of violent behaviour among the youth.

What is evident is the fact that vulnerable youth have been victimized in some way, form, and shape by the social media platforms, because they tend to believe it is a solution to the problems they are experiencing. This is especially true when the youth see so many of their favourite hero's stories in the social media, which in turn resorts to violence, either as revenge or as a tool that can be used in combating evil. As a result, most of the youth tend to have a feeling that they are heroes because some people might be bullying them or hurting other people in particular social media groups; thus portrayed as bad guys (Patton, Desmond Upton, et al. 550). When they resort to what they have seen in movies, they often feel like it is okay for them to resort to some form of violence as a way of doing away with the bad guys.

The advancement in technology has led to greater access to harmful explosives and firearms, and it is even more encouraged by social media platforms, which in turn have raised serious concerns among individuals. It is important to note that social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram have been termed as the most significant drivers of violent-related crimes among the youth (DeLisi, Matt, et al. 137). People have created various social media groups; in which they can compel people into indulging in criminal activities because they have the weaponry necessary for engaging in such actions. For instance, the recent violent crimes propagated by the youth in the United States have been linked to the influence of social media platforms.

Nonetheless, more and more youth tend to feel a sense of loneliness in the world they are living in and in most cases, think that they are being overlooked by society. In most cases, they tend to have a feeling that the present society often rewards individuals for being famous, being popular, and for standing out among the rest. The youth often yearn to become celebrities to be considered necessary because social media usually gives unlimited attention to bad people doing bad things. As a result, the child sees how violent criminal-related behaviour can be regarded as the most effective way of becoming significant people in life. Knowingly, the youth will conduct crimes that aim at making the famous least forgetting the adverse effects it will have on their lives (Tripathi 5). Cyberbullying is also consid...
