Introduction
The class has significantly guided me from the beginning of the CA doc to the middle in a variety of ways. For instance, I have understood the role of strategic planning in the healthcare organization in terms of aligning the purpose of various health professionals to the values and missions of the industry. I also learned through the class that the current healthcare providers require some value-based and patient-centered approaches than the traditional healthcare strategy models.
Through the Strategic Health care Industry Class, I have so far learned that acute care involves the treatment of urgent injury conditions and illnesses. However, long-term care, on the other hand, offers the treatment of some stable healthcare conditions such as maintenance and improvement of the emotional and physical well-being (Eliopoulos, 2015). I also learned that a holistic approach is a critical concept in the healthcare provision since it recognizes the complex combination of an individual's emotional, physical, and mental components.
Healthcare Data Analytic Decision
I have also learned that there is increasing data in the healthcare industry that, when adequately utilized, could help in making some critical decisions within the industry. For instance, I have so far learned from the class that there is an increasing demand for nursing homes due to several factors such as the family life expectancy as well as the availability of some long term care options. I also learned that the health ought to appropriately collect, manage, and analyze data to offer quality care within the industry at a reduced cost.
I have also so far appreciated the need for nurse staffing regulations in various nursing homes, taking into cognizance the sizes of such healthcare facilities and nursing homes (Powers, 2003). The class has also enabled me to appreciate the various realities of nursing homes and their roles in the provision of quality and competent nursing services, mainly in the long-term healthcare settings (Zhang et al., 2013).
Principles Finance
This class has enabled me to understand that health financing must focus on the mobilization and pooling of financial resources as well as allocating them to various healthcare providers (Trinkoff et al., 2005). I have appreciated the fact that the reduction in the staffing level of any health care facility results in work pressure for the few nursing professionals within the health care facility, thus exposing them to the likelihood of injuries in the workplace (Miller et al., 2012). Proper financing in the healthcare industry is essential in the provision of quality healthcare services to deserving citizens.
Again, from the beginning of CA to the end, this article has made me acknowledge that the level of staffing also has essential impacts on the health of the workers. In this light, it is imperative that adequate resources and facilities ought to be put in place to enhance the level of staffing in nursing homes.
Therefore, all the three sources have been essential in learning the various concepts within the nursing professionals ranging from staffing of the nurses and its influence on the workers' injury, the origins of experience for the nurses as well as the possible gaps that are often witnessed within the nursing homes (Trinkoff et al., 2005).
