The outbreak of COVID-19 was surprising since I could not expect to bring into attention of the whole world, affecting the economy ad operations of the nations affected. The meeting was interesting and informative since the issues which affect the public in a great percentage are were addressed and some of the precautions which should be applied to mitigate the risk of COVID-19. The experience of the meeting was good and interesting since I was not also alone, which resulted in a further discussion of the topic of Coronavirus and evaluating the resolution proclaimed as well as ordered by the city council. Based on my perspective on the judgment of elected officials, I would vote any of the office since they engaged on the issues sincerely and show the concern of the city councils to the public wellbeing and safety.
Problems Facing the City
The city experience some of the problems such as the public health and safety problem which have largely spread and result to death due to the outbreak of COVID-19 which is said to have come from the animals and affected the human which easily spread in human this is because the disease has a deadly virus though it is reported to have a range of 2-3 percent death rate (World Health Organization, 2020). Another problem facing the city is the economic crisis. This has been a result of the COVID-19 outbreak which has resulted in nation closure of flights thus reducing the number of tourists who visit the city of Anaheim since the city economy is tourist-based. Pinnotti et al., (2020), argued that the right strategies are supposed to be put into consideration since the home city individuals' business has been closed due to the outbreak of the disease thus this will result in failure of the economy as most of the people are indoors. From the list of the problems the city is experiencing, the problem of COVID-19 was addressed in the meeting since the control of the disease will make things to go back into the normal routine. From the meeting, a resolution is addressed on how to handle the COVID-19 risk hence although the economy issue is not addressed, with the COVID-19 issue being addressed, it can lead to economic growth since the city will start experiencing visits from the tourist who contribute to the city economy. The COVID-19 has called for attention globally affecting the city of Anaheim.
