Introduction
Work plan refers to the outline of objectives and procedures through which a team or an individual is set to accomplish goals and offer a user a better understanding of the scope. Work plans help the user to remain organized while executing projects (Hr.un.org, n.d.). Numerous areas are broken down into smaller executable tasks. This article will analyze the provisions and content in two work plans from Hhs.Gov.
Advanced Care Planning Services: Compliance with Medicare Requirements
Medicare began paying for Advanced Care Planning (ACP) in 2016. ACP refers to face to face service where practitioners and the patient discuss the healthcare wishes of the patient should they become incapacitated. It is an elaborate plan that allows the Medicare beneficiaries to deliberate on important decisions and control the type of care the patients receive and when (Hhs.Gov., 2018). A planned nationwide audit will be carried out to solve all the omissions in clinical documentation regarding ACP and details of the face to face services. Additionally, the audit will check whether these services have complied with all the federal regulations. The plan was announced/revised in June 2020 under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ‌ (Hhs.Gov., 2018), and the expected issue date is 2021.
Medicaid—Telehealth Expansion During COVID-19 Emergency
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the state Medicaid programs have increased the provisions of telehealth services. Such a rapid expansion might present numerous issues for the State agencies and providers comprising the State oversight of these services (Hhs.Gov., 2018). This plan aims to examine whether the State agency and providers comply with all the state provisions and the federal requirement for the telehealth services through the national emergency declaration. It aims to determine if the State has offered the providers sufficient guidance and telehealth requirements (Hhs.Gov., 2018). The plan was announced/revised in June 2020 under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ‌ (Hhs.Gov., 2018), and the expected issue date is 2021.
Conclusion
A work plan is an essential part of every execution. It assists the users in subdividing the work content into smaller components to enable one to focus on what is essential. It assists the user to eliminate preventable errors and as a check as to whether all the provisions are well addressed and in compliance with all the objectives of the overall plan. One area that needs a detailed outline is healthcare due to the ever-rising health conditions.
