There are three types of entities on the health organization, government, non-for profit, and for-profit owned hospitals. Government hospitals tend to offer medical services for relatively no benefits. At the same time, for-profit has the highest likely to make most profits, and the non-for-profits range their earnings in the middle. Non-profit and for-profit hospitals are the same; they have significant operational and cultural differences, such as operational discipline strategic approaches to scale. Non-for-profit hospital is usually there for the mission of caring out their duties and not the returns to the shareholders, which is contrary to what for-profit hospitals mostly do, as they balance the profits to the shareholders and the efficient decision making.
Workplaces where workers in a company get unified, they use the labor union to act as an intermediary between the management and company employees. The union members enjoy job securities, fringe benefits packages, and also may receive lucrative compensations. However, the non-union workers do not enjoy some or most of what the unionized ones get. The union members get reluctant to pursue other opportunities that might not be unionized, while the non-union workers are always trying to pursue jobs in organizations that have unionized workers to secure their jobs (Mayhew, 2019 February 01).
The unions can impose dues and fees on all workers even to those that have not yet opted to join formally, as they determine indiscretion the total amounts of taxes and dues. However, the non-unionized workers avoid it all taking their full pay. These works in favor of the employer, as they get fewer turnovers, thus reducing the cost of hiring and training new workers. Unions protect their members against financial losses from hospitalization and medical while promoting the availability of benefits that don't attract wages. Most of the non-for-profit hospitals don't offer these because their workers do not unify. The workers that get employed at places where others do not unite can bargain their wages face to face with their employers, unlike the ones that are unionized whose payments are not permanent.
Members of a union can state the conditions of the place they work from as they have a voice to promote safe working conditions. They also can see to it that the working hours get observed and limitation to swing and overtime shifts. Whereas those that are from the non-unions might do overtime with no compensation, some of their workplaces are not safe, and they don't have safety equipment like their partners in unions (Mayhew, 2019 February 01). On the contrary, some members of the associations that require more shifts to cover their financial problems are not allowed to work as they have rules that the employers follow to avoid getting sued. While in the non-unionized organizations' workers can request for overtime and more shifts if the opportunity arises. As both work for more hours and turns, it is highly suitable not for a worker or employer to allow them overwork as it may lead to accidents caused by fatigue.
The unions also have defects as they promote workers for the time they put in, unlike the non-unions that give merit to the person that is best at doing the job successfully. The employer of non-unionized workplaces chooses employees to promote based on potential and ability, rather than time in business. This kind of promotion is effective in nurturing talent to positions that are of benefit to the company. The non-union, non-profit workers, are better to work for than work for-profit unions have employees who are ready to work and come to work with a mission to help and provide service to their patients. Their employers offer promotions to those that deem to be promoted. The non-unions have adopted the formal ways of dealing with complaints so that they ease the mode of resolving the issues arising. The payments at non-unionized workplaces may be different as each person gets employed with different terms and conditions (Silva, & Lima, 2018). Thus, this is the best place any worker would like to work from as you also learn the vantages of what you majored in through helping others.
Human Resources and Marketing is a department in an organization that's focused on development, recruitment, or engagement in the workplace. It helps create a brand for the organization. Through communication, the HR and Marketing department can sell the organization's brand to the consumers via the employees (Silva, & Lima, 2018). Universal brand messages get created by using social and technology-based tools that apply to applicants, employees, and consumers. The middle-class persons tend to go to most of the non-profit hospital as they have personnel that offers suitable medication and these are all brought out to the people through the public relation created by the HR and management department. The secretary who helps sign in to the nurses that feed you all depends on how well the HR has cultured, nurtured, and invested in them. If the HR manager is not well organized, so will the employees that follow what they get directed to do, making their performance to go below the expected level. But when the work gets well organized, then the processes at the workplace run smoothly.
