Introduction
In modern days, marketing has taken a new dimension due to technology advancement through electronic marketing and digital media known as digital marketing. It is used to identify consumers' wants and needs. Social media and blogs are some of the platforms that consumers and sellers interact. Companies use reviews of consumers to be able to learn their behavior.
Some of the negative reviews from the consumer show that moods may spoil the desire to shop. For example, a poor state of the economy or the poor performing of the stock market may make people feel more miserable, resulting in a reduction in consumer spending. As a result, to get the consumers back into buying mood is right to introduce cheaper products and discount products that will uplift the mood of the consumers (Chafffey, 2018). Other external factors such as government policy, economic growth or decline, and social changes may hinder company growth, to shield the company form such factors, the company should develop a flexible and adaptive framework to changes that may happen.
Determining Success
Red Bull led one of the successful digital marketing campaigns on Instagram. The goal of the advert was to create awareness of their energy drink "summer Edition" tropical flavoured. The reason why the campaign was a huge success is that their firm focuses on simplicity building on the brand. Second, they used yellow filters incorporated on a range of videos and images which captured the attention of the audience.
Some of the ideas that a company may think to be excellent in conference rooms may turn out to be wrong to the extent of hurting the brand. For example, McDonald's that was aired on the UK TV Spot (Digital Marketing Institute, 2019).The advert involved a boy and talking to his mother about his dead dad, but they shared a love of filet sandwiches. McDonald's was criticized on social media for exploiting grief to make a sell. The advert would be successful if the marketer remained focused on the prize in reaching their target audience rather than focus on creativity and uniqueness alone (Hughes, 2018).
