Messaging of the Nonprofit

The RI association advocates for the equal representation of all the minority populations in Rhode Island in various areas and most especially in business development and business areas. The organization targets investment and urban planning with the diverse emerging demographics and aim at lifting all the boats as well as any potentials in the minority population communities to enhance broader and statewide objectives (Michael, Van & Brian, 2014). It aims at mining various talents and workforces in the Rhode Island individuals and couples them with deeper yearnings and needs for jobs in all the urban neighborhoods. It encourages every Rhode Island individuals belonging to the minority groups to work together with the organization in pursuing the goals to achieve an ideal value proposition for their state through economic inclusion.

The RIs brand integrates affinity, ethics, democracy and integrity; the association brand shows how the services offered are rooted in the community regardless of one's race or origin. The integrity in the brand indicates that the association's internal identity is well aligned with the external image and also that all these are aligned to the association's mission.

It ensures that it recognizes that the minority populations value of collaboration to fulfil the various needs of the members and to improve as well as enhance these member's needs.

What Is the Impact on the Customers & Community?

The RI programs and services impact the customers and community positively. First, there has been significant business development in Rhode Island, especially among the minority communities. The 2007 survey done by the US Census Bureau among the business owners suggests that in over five years, the Latino business has grown by over 68%, 28% in the Asian companies, and 23% among the African American businesses(Michael, Van & Brian, 2014). Additionally, they have increased entrepreneurship levels in the immigrant communities found in Rhode Island. Some significant business trades in the state need to be recognized as well as celebrated. These business trades need to be also used in bringing the various groups as equal partners in the table. The building and growth of the business trades and their success often makes sense and is vital in ensuring economic opportunities are shared equally to all individuals belonging to the minority population.

Second, currently, there exist five essential economic, social equity and workforce development initiatives in place to help in the incorporation and real inclusion of the Rhode Island's emerging demographics which appear to have been marginalized historically. All the activities which have been blended show some unique opportunities to this minority participation (Michael, Van & Brian, 2014). Examples of these activities include; RI Senate's Rhode to work and the RI Statewide Social Equity Rhode Map.

How Does Social Equity Have a Role in the Philosophy of the Organization

There is an establishment of collaboration between Rhode Island's OIC and the Initiative for the Competitive Inner Cities to enhance economic opportunities among all the minority populations in Rhode Island. RI organization works in the best interests of these communities regardless of the individual's race and place of origin. RI advocates for better planning approaches in the state; these approaches need to be inclusive for the benefit of every individual and growing demographics (Michael, Van & Brian, 2014). The organization aims at enhancing economic investment in the Rhode Island urban communities through shifting from the model of social services to the model of business growth with the contemporary minority populations supporting and be self-sufficient with regards to economic advancement.
