Clinical Issue, Implication, and Remedy
Compassion fatigue is associated with the difficulty of a nurse to deal with their patients and patient loss. Other practitioners may work for long hours to gratify the compassion and passion of their patients. The exhaustion can lead to the development of a wide range of problems such as stress, depression, and chronic issues. There are however strategies that can limit the effects that arise from weariness. The essay attempts to describe fatigue as a clinical issue with the implications that may arise from the problem. The paper also intends to discuss the main criteria for resolving the clinical problem.
Clinical Problems and Implications for Nursing
Health workers especially nursing personnel experience a variety of problems during the processes of service delivery. Work-related compassion-fatigue is one of the main issues facing the workers. There are several factors that contribute to the issue of burnout and tiredness. Examples of the identified risk factors involve professional practices which have incidences such as mandatory overtime for nurses in the hospital (Labrague, McEnroe, Al Amri, Fronda, & Obeidat, 2018). The nursing staff may experience long working hours such as having shifts for more than twelve hours with insufficient breaks between shifts. Cases of low numbers of nursing staff with high numbers of patients or ancillary staff in the hospital may contribute pressure at work.
Moreover, there are personal hazardous practices contributing to kindness fatigue and burnout in nursing as a profession. Working voluntary for overtime, family and home responsibilities determine the exhaustion of the specialist. The age, general physical and mental conditions of the nurse may also lead to high chances of tiredness. Environmental circumstances can also enhance compassion fatigue (Sinclair, Kondejewski, Raffin, King, Singh, 2017). The environmental aspects include poor working conditions, inadequate and ineffective resources in the hospital and the witnessing of their patients as they suffer.

The Main Issue for Addressing a Solution to Evidence-Based Nursing Practice
There are several recommendations to curb compassion tiredness among the nursing professionals. Compassion fatigue and burnout amongst nurses can be dealt with by multi-factorial intervention as a wellness program. The goal of such schedule is to promote the refresh the energy of the nurses and as such, improve the quality of their life and services (Khamisa, Peltzer, Ilic, & Oldenburg, 2016). The wellness plan may involve practices such as physical exercises and enhancement of the high-quality mental health of nurses. The intervention may also constitute encouraging the nursing staff members to breaks during work. Resting hours can be through shift arrangements, group tours, and company sponsored groups either within a certain time frame such as six months to 10 months.
The above practices are considered since nursing occurs at a unique environment of the hospital and different structural environment (Khamisa, Peltzer, Ilic, & Oldenburg, 2016). Nurses with fatigue and lack of wellness programs are likely to make medical malpractices or errors when administering health services to their patients. Fatigue- related errors may include wrong infusion rates, wrong dosage, wrong prescription or timing.
Nursing is a demanding occupation and as such, the rate of work increases often. The high workloads force the nurses to work their shifts and sometimes overtimes without a break to meet patient demands in their place of work (Orellana-Rios et al. 2017)). Long working hours, poor working situations, seeing patients suffer are also some factors contributing to increased compassion fatigue and burnout.
Effective management of wellness programs has a high likelihood of positive influences on nursing professionals suffering from compassion fatigue, burnout, and related problems. The plans motivate and encourage these workers. The quality of service care can also improve as a result of such programs. Moreover, lifestyle choices, staff turnover, employee satisfaction output and productivity, staff health and welfare amongst nurse are some of the additional possible gains of fatigue eliminating strategies.
