Introduction

Divorce defines a process through which married people separate. The issue of divorce has created various aspects of delays in the lives of children since most children have witnessed their parents' divorce. Effects of divorce on children has been considered as one of the primary issues that children experience in their lives. It has been indicated that the cases of divorce in the past years were low as compared to the current world where there are numerous cases of divorce which lead to multiple aspects of delays in the children. It is therefore through this that the public and parents need to be informed on the various effects that divorce cause to the children. At the time of educating the public and the parents, it would be essential to come up with certain measures that can be applied to make a reduction in the cases of divorce in the present world. One of the significant effects that are likely to be created as a result of divorce to the children is the slow ability to learn.

Divorce affects children by delaying them in numerous aspects. Most of the children who come from families where their parents divorced, always experience the slow learning ability which reduces their class performance. This paper will connect different situations of divorce from different regions of the world and provide the delayed aspects that the cases of such divorce brought to the children.

Causes of Divorce in Families

Divorce delays the ability of the children to have a good child to parent relationship. Most of the children who come from the families where there has been a divorce, they will view parents as failures thus it will be difficult for them to relate effectively to them. Various factors have been associated with the existence or increase of divorce in the current world (Weaver, Jennifer, and Thomas 39). For example, most of the divorce issue has taken place as a result of the misunderstanding between the married individuals. Most of the married individuals may decide to divorce since if they do not understand each other adequately. Additionally, divorce is the family is a situation that is caused when there is a lack of communication between two married people (Harold, Gordon, and Leslie 33). Connection is a compelling way through which married people get to realize what each other demands. This when the communication is not effective or is poor, there are higher chances of the divorce happening between them. It is also believed that many cases of divorce that have been observed in the current world have been created as a result of the money issues in the family.

Most families that do not have enough money to care for their needs have taken divorce as the only way through which they can get out of the slavery of poverty. This they live with their children behind to suffer (Oppawsky 231). Thirdly, constant arguing also leads to the high increase of divorce in many families. Lastly, Infidelity has also created a chance for the rise in divorce in the current world. Most of the partners always prefer walking away from their marriage when they realize that their partners are involved with another person. This has led to divorce in many marriages thereby living the children to suffer emotionally, and psychologically.

Psychological Delay Aspects or Effects on Children

Some mental issues or delays have been associated with the divorce on children who come from divorced families. Most of these children are affected by mental which even later grows with them into their adult lives. One significant mental effect of divorce on children is that most children will keep to themselves. Most children who come from families that have divorced always keep to themselves hence some become depressed (Stallman, Helen, and Matthew 37) Revealing to people what they go through becomes a problem since they still feel that everybody will betray them. Additionally, the problem of is another psychological issue that can be created as a result of divorce in children. This is because children will be involved in various characters and with no one to correct them. They will involve themselves with other children who might have also experienced the same issue thus involving activities that might affect their behaviors.

Poor performance in academics is also another psychological effect that is created as a result of divorce in children (Anderson 380). Most of these children find it hard to concentrate on their studies since most of their times are spent thinking about their families and what will happen to them later in life. This, therefore, makes it difficult for them to do well in their studies hence leading to poor performance in their academic works. Being secretive and secluded is another major psychological issue that can be created in children as a result of the divorce of their parents. These children will always stay alone, and secretive without trusting anybody in their lives since the people who they believed have divorced.

Emotional Delays or Effects Caused by Divorce on Children

Divorce has created numerous impact starting from the psychological effects of the emotional delays on children. Emotional effects have of divorce have been presented to children as a result of divorce (Amato, Paul, and Christopher 380). These emotional effects if not easily solved may lead to numerous problems in children even when they move to adulthood. One of the significant emotional delays or effects that has been created by divorce o children is the repeated breaking o the laws. The children who come from families who have divorced are likely to have repeated act of breaking the law. This is because these children are always angry at any little thing that can be solved easily (Kalmijn 740). The fast anger in the children with divorced parents is caused as a result of the separation which their parents have taken. Additionally, most of these children who come from divorced families can also experience early involvement in sexual activity. This is because they will be educated by their parents on how they should live their lives. They can also involve themselves early in sexual activities as a result of the peer pressure from their age mates who they will interact with.

Another emotional delay or effect that can be created by the divorce of parents to the children is the involvement in alcohol consumption.
