An experimental statistical research article about the health and attractiveness of sleep deprived people
Introduction
The article is mainly trying to analyze a statistical research investigating whether sleepy deprived people are viewed to have poor health, seen to be less attractive or to even be more tired after a night sleep. The statistical research findings show that sleep-deprived people are found and also appear to be less healthy, less attractive and at the same time more tired when compared to the time that they had a perfect sleep. This highly suggests that all human beings are significantly sensitive to the sleep-related facial cues in addition to the potential complications more so to the clinical and social judgment and their general behavior. Proper studies and research are therefore warranted for a proper understanding of how this situation can affect the required clinical decision making and at the same time to add a related knowledge on the direct implication of the medical findings.
The recognition of the case more so the statistical research highly depends on the perfect measure of the accurate and high appreciation of small points that the disease on research highly depends on a particular person but differ from the healthy state of a person. The design of the article is an experimental study with the setting in a sleep laboratory that is situated in Sweden. The participant in this statistical research article who helped in analyzing the health status and attractiveness of sleep deprived people were 23 healthy individuals, and sleep deprived adults who were aged between 18-31 years. All of this participants were photographed and other 65 untrained observers who were aged between 18-65b were used to rate the photographs.
The intervention of the article states that the participants were all photographed after a normal and a good night sleep and this was approximated to 8-10 hours of good sleep. This was compared to 31 hours of wakefulness after a proper reduced night sleeps and all the photographs were taken and presented in a really randomized manner using the untrained observers. The main outcome measures of the research as produced in the article was the difference in the observer ratings of that particular perceived health, the attractiveness together with the tiredness after the sleep. The result of the article research shows that the sleep-deprived people were viewed or categorized to be less healthy and this as a result of the analog scale score of about mean 63 (SE 2) v 68 as compared to the normal night sleep. The poor health observed or the decrease in the good health conditions of the sleep-deprived people was as a result of lack of enough sleep and it was highly associated with the increasing rates of tiredness.
Statistical training across the field of medical education may not have advanced at the speed of statistical reporting in the medical literature; nevertheless, a complete indulgence of statistical concepts most frequently presented in the research currently is very important to the real practice of Evidence-Based Medicine. The aim of this analysis was to discuss various statistical methods that were used in the article that can bring out a successful and a proper medical practice that will solve the existing problems in the field of medicine.
A good and a proper clinical judgment is a key factor and of great importance when carrying out various medical practices and clinical decisions. This is perfectly illustrated and explained in the Joseph Bell quotes that properly illustrate the impressive observational skill and the required deductive skills. Sleep as a biological process is a homeostasis process in which its effect is highly realized within an individual in whatever circumstance how the process is interfered with.
Conclusion
At the moment, statistics is extensively recognized as a powerful tool in the scientific research process with a great increase in the use of statistical methods. However, several errors were in this article, for instance, incompatibility of statistical tests with the type of data and use of an inappropriate test for the hypothesis under investigation. In my opinion, this article is very accurate since it has proper use of statistical information and also offers extra evidence to back up a re-examination of medical students; residents are taught during the course of their training in order to acquaint them with developing statistical methods. The conclusion of the research, therefore, agrees with the current and the existing models which are trying to describe the link between sleep and good health together with the link that exists between attractiveness and good health. It is, therefore, a very significant statistical article and the information was presented in a proper manner that can assist in the future analysis of the medical health of individuals. Taken together, the results and the findings of the articles gives out a clear insight into the judgment of the health and the attractiveness of a person which is a very significant point in relation to the health status of an individual.
