Pregnant Woman at Risk

Notably, most people prefer abortion only if the woman's health condition is at risk and there is a severe defect in the fetus or the womb. These people argue that abortion should be conducted legally if the life of the pregnant woman is at risk. If abortion is the only option to save the pregnant woman's life otherwise, it should not be allowed since it stops procreation as required by God. Abortion is also a means of killing living organisms which the law of the land does not guarantee such act within the society. According to these people, any woman who aborts should be charged with a capital offense. Therefore, these people believe that only God should take away somebody's life hence have a negative attitude towards abortion issue( Joffe, 2013).

Rape Case

In some cases, the public would accept abortion if it came as a result of a rape case. The community may sympathize with the woman who is involved in raping arguing that probably the woman might not be ready to bear a child or a woman does not wish to bear a child whose whereabouts is not known rather than bearing a child from criminal activity. The community believes that the child if allowed to live, might also become rapist hence bringing a lousy reputation and omen both to the mother and the society. Either, some people believe that abortion would be necessary for the case of rape so that if the rape is involving unmarried lady, then she could get a spouse easily. They believe that most men will avoid a baby born from the rape incident; therefore, it would prove hard for the mother to get a man for marriage purpose. Thus, these argue that abortion should not be accepted unless there is a severe reason prompting the act and the cause should be genuine and acceptable widely (Bartkowski et al., 2012).

Pregnancy and Low-Income Family

Contrarily, some members of the community believe that a pregnant lady from a very low-income family or parents should be allowed to conduct abortion an opinion which is equally rejected by majority members of the community. Those who support this idea argue that abortion should be the only option if a lady already has many children that she cannot afford taking care of. Moreover, they support abortion if either the lady or the husband does not have a job to cater for the welfare of an extra child. They support abortion to prevent the suffering of the newly born baby. They would not like to see the child suffer after being taken to a destitute family. Moreover, some, mainly, women, that abortion should be allowed especially if they do not need some children and if they never expected pregnancy.

However, the proponent of abortion based on this ground argue that if a woman realizes that she hails from an impoverished background, then she should avoid pregnancy at all cost. Besides, they say that there are ways of preventing pregnancy that a lady should apply upon the recommendation of the medical doctor to avoid pregnancy. Briefly, they are supporting the idea of the use of family planning to avoid unwanted pregnancies. Advisably, they would wish the single ladies particularly those who stay with their parents to avoid intimacy before marriage or rather be subjected to family planning practices to avoid the rampant abortion among them in their attempt to avoid giving birth before marriage (Smith, & Son, 2013).

Abortion and Infidelity

Unfortunately, it is realized that some women engage in abortion to save their marriage mainly if they suspect that they have become pregnant outside marriage. These women realize that their husbands will not accept the child and therefore seek to abortion as the only means of saving the marriage or avoiding the marital conflict. However, most members of the community condemn this immorality arguing that it can encourage infidelity among the marriages. Either, they argue that if abortion due this infidelity is encouraged, then the rate of infidelity will be rampant and the eventuality will be the spread of Sexually Transmitted Diseases such as HIV/AIDS as well as the cases of divorce will be on the upscale. This might prove dangerous because the future generation could be trading on the same trend hence resulting in a corrupt society. Therefore, most members of the public hold a high negative attitude towards abortion of this kind since they believe it is preventable through being faithful in the marriage (Smith, & Son, 2013).

Abortion and Child Preference

Eventually, few women and men members of the society would support abortion on the ground of gender preference. For instance, maybe in a family, there is a preference for a baby girl pregnancy as a result of all the previous pregnancies bearing just males. At times, the woman may be tempted to seek an abortion to avoid giving birth to a same-sex child. The woman may realize this through the scanning process done in the hospitals and end up discouraged with the same sex pregnancy. However, the community is against this abortion based on sex preference arguing that any child is essential irrespective of sex or gender. Therefore, these family encouraging abortion based on this petty reasoning should love any pregnancy regardless of the child they are expecting (Carter, Carter, & Dodge, 2009).

Conclusion

Concisely, it can be concluded that majority members of the society do not support aborting. This would imply that the community should try all means to avoid seeking abortion at some stage of life. For example, a pregnant woman should regularly visit clinics to prevent any risk that might result from defects in the fetus. Moreover, women are encouraged to seek family planning to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Therefore, these arguments imply that society has a negative attitude towards issues regarding abortion.
