He pulls religion into the picture and says the people must have been scared by the scenes of the snow if they thought about it in relation to the last days as prophesized in the bible. He makes fun of the reaction of Sen. Graham concerning the state of the union when the state was merely collapsing due to precipitation. In simple humor, he meant to pass the message that a city as great as Atlanta should not be collapsing due to the mere snowstorm. This article is important because it offers the perspective of a show host and a valid and honest opinion for that matter. Although the author brings out his point with a tone of satire and sarcasm, he makes his point regardless and it is essential for the paper.

Some of the motorists had to abandon their vehicles and walk home when the conditions were not growing any better. More than any other article available, Reid offers pictorial illustration of the snow occurrence and this draws an accurate picture of the people's suffering from literally every quarter of the city of Atlanta. The state government tried to save the situation by sending military Humvees to salvage the situation about school buses getting stuck in the snow but hardly did they make any progress. This article is essential because not only does it objectively paint the picture of the snow situation but it also creates a vivid illustration of the same.
