Strength finder assessment test is an essential behavioral evaluation tool used by individuals and employers to establish a combination of gifts, skills, and knowledge possessed by a person. Through this test, individuals learn about qualities that make them unique. Learning about one's strengths, encourage them to find out ways they can better their strengths, and deal with the challenges linked to these strengths. The paper focuses on establishing ways the strengths of competition, ideation, intellection, achiever, and harmony can be applied in academic and relationship journey in college and reveal the challenges linked to them as well as establish the goals that the learner should pursue in college using the identified strengths.
Throughout college, the academic and relationship journey involves a lot of competition. Hence, having a competition strength will enable the student to deal with any form of rivalry in school with confidence. Competition strength will also help deal with anxieties and stress involved in different academic and relational activities such as doing exams and creating a friendship with strangers. Furthermore, competition strength is vital because it will motivate the student to be diligent and comfortable with the academic contents.
The ideation strength implies that the student loves ideas and enjoy coming up with new ones. The student will apply the ideation strength to come up with new ideas that would help resolve problems and challenges they will encounter in their academic and social journey in college. Besides, this strength will boost their relationship with classmates because they will be willing to listen and share new academic and relationships ideas with them. The student also has the intellection strength, which indicates that they enjoy thinking and are fascinated by intellectual tasks. Notably, academics in college require a student to engage in various mental activities and thinking; for instance, taking exams requires intensive thinking and intellectual engagement from students. Hence, a student with this strength will enjoy and succeed in their college journey compared to those without.
The achiever strength implies that the student has the energy and loves working hard. Therefore, this quality will help them work hard to understand the academic content in college to pass their college exams. Harmony strength will also help the student to form peaceful relationships and avoid conflicts with educators and fellow students in college.
Each of these strengths is likely to trigger a bad behavior or a challenge to the student. The competition and intellectual strengths are expected to make the student enter into competitive activities that require a lot of thinking and intellect to defeat others and humiliate them. Besides, the ideation strength may become challenging to the student as fellow students, and teachers may tend to always rely on them to provide new ideas most of the time. The achiever strength may become challenging to the student when they work hard to achieve intricate and unrealistic goals. The harmony strength may become challenging to the student as some of the students and teachers within the college may not understand their commitment to promoting peace and resolving conflicts.
One of the goals the student should pursue is getting high grades in class. The learner should focus on using his or her intellectual, ideation, and achiever strengths to accomplish this goal. Secondly, the student should aim at forming strong relationships with fellow students and educators using his harmony strength.
