I am a 32 years old lady. The weight is 241lbs. I am 5’4, BMI at 41.4, and my BMR is 1788 Calories per day. The weight and height measurement help us calculate BMR and BMI. The above figures help us to know more about our bodies and how to improve it. The human body is made to function as a unit that needs energy. Daily energy is determined by the food eaten. Therefore, it is essential to keep a food diary. It is not always easy to achieve the required body size, but understanding a few things about the BMI and the BMR can help us. Reports are made from experiments, and in this paper, I will report one I conducted. The paper explains a three-day investigation that reveals the daily activities and the type of food eaten. An analysis of BMI, SDA, and BMR follows at the end, plus a conclusion from the findings and observations.

Problem Definition

The daily activities can vary, and the energy used in the process is different as well. The calculation of ideal weight is essential. The daily intake is critical, but measuring what we consume helps in many ways like maintain the weight and keep healthy. This section involves the calculation of the average or means daily intake and daily energy expenditure. The three days I did the experiment were regular days, and nothing was extra. The main activities which I engaged in were studying online, sleeping, driving, and exercising.

The Food Dairy

The food diary helps to keep track of the food we eat and the energy we consume. The types of food have a certain number of calories, and it is advised to take the recommended portions. The kind of diet people eat has different compositions. Some diet has more carbohydrates, while others have more vegetables to a specific weight goal. The number of calories is based on the 100 grams of each food type.

Loss Weight

The energy calories I require are 4805.6 calories, while the food calories I eat are 2393 calories. It means that I might lose weight. The information about what one needs to eat and what one consumes is essential. It helps people know how to feed to cut or add weight. Physicians use BMI and MBR to help people who are underweight and obese. Obesity is a challenge in the United States, but diet and exercise can help solve it. My figures show that I am likely to lose weight soon. I am eating fewer calories than I use daily. It means that there is a negative or deficit. Maintaining body weight requires calories consumed to equal the calories required. I feel that this an eye-opener for me as I can continue to apply this method to lose weight. It is not always about the food people eat. The quantities matter and the number of calories that are there. I need to keep this diet if I want to lose more kilograms in the future.

Ideal Weight

The calculation of the BMI is easy given the bodyweight is 241 lbs and height 5’4. Using the calculator provided, my BMI is 41.4, and it is fascinating to measure the BMI. It helps us to know the healthy body weight. In the United States, the leading cause of death is lifestyle diseases. The diseases that come as a result of how people eat. Healthy body weight keeps people out of the risk of lifestyle diseases. The BMI helps to check if one is underweight, average, or obese. The most recommended BMI is 18 to 24. The BMI of more than 24 means that one is obese. I have to accept that I am obese. My BMI is 40. It is a challenge I have to conquer because it increases my risk of getting lifestyle diseases. If the BMI is more than 40, one can get high blood pressure, diabetes, heart diseases, among other conditions. It is a challenge that people can solve, and the two things essential to checking the diet and exercising.

Conclusion

The paper has explained an experiment, the energy required, the body-energy people consume, the BMR and SDA, and BMI. The energy consumed depends on the type of activities one does every day. For heavy manual work, the one uses more calories compared to light duties. The BMR is essential as it tells energy the body requires to stay alive. Finally, the BMI explains what the right body weight for healthy living is.
