UiPath: Pioneers of Robotic Process Automation Technology - Essay Sample

Introduction

UiPath was established in 2005 by two Romanian entrepreneurs, Daniel Dines and Marius Tirca. It is a worldwide software corporation that offers a podium for robotic process automation. Robotic process automation is the utilization of software fitted with artificial intelligence and device learning aptitudes to manage high-volume, repeatable jobs that formerly required human beings to execute. This technology is inclusive of software robots that can imitate a human being. Robotic process automation bots have the aptitude to log into applications, feed in the data, compute and wrap up the jobs, and lastly, log out. In UiPath, there are multiple variables of dissimilar types used to store multiples types of data. A variable is a representational name linked with a value that is bound to change. The following are some types of variables I learned that could be used in UiPath robotic process automation technologies.

• Text variables.
• Boolean variables.
• Integer variables
• Array variables.

Date and Time

In UiPath, arrays and lists incredibly comparable; the sole dissimilarity is that the size of a list varies, whereas the size of the array is fixed size. When defining an array variable, the first step is to select the data type of the array and later stipulate the nature of the elements. Moreover, recording in the UiPath prompts the user to effortlessly capture his or her activities on the screen and interpret them into succession. I learned there are diverse types of recordings in the UiPath. They include the following:

• Basic- This type of recording establishes an entire selector for every action. It has no container at all.
• Desktop - This type of recording is quicker in comparison to the basic recorder. The desktop creates a container consisting of an apex level window selector and fractional selectors for each action to be taken.
• Web- This type of recording aids standard recording in web applications and browsers.
• Citrix- This type is used in the recording of multiple components in virtualized environs.

UiPath provides for input actions. These are activities that formulate several straight responses on the object that is being automated; hence, prompting it to perform a particular task. However, output actions are those activities that extract information from a specific entity that a user is working with. I learned that input actions are split into three methods.

• Default- This input method uses the mouse and keyboard drivers to stimulate a human operating them.
• Simulate type/ click- This input method is the fastest, and it works in the background. However, it does not support keyboard shortcuts.
• Window messages- This input method sends a precise message directly to the target application to perform a renowned activity.

A selector is a series of characters that are used in the identification of screen objects. They are specially built to point to a specific element in the environment. UiPath Studio provides for automation of image and text through various multiple actions that simulate both the keyboard and mouse inputs. These activities include clicking, hovering, and recognition of text. It also includes optical character recognition tasks that typically identify user interaction elements through screen scraping.

Excel events in UiPath offer an extensive range of choices for excel automation. UiPath offers a set of excel doings which can be applied in an excel workbook activities and application scope activity. In this study module, I learned the various ways of using the utmost prevalent excel events. They include the following; Read Range, Write Range, Append Range, Sort Table, Read Cell, and Write Cell.

Concerning robot process automation, there are two circumstances for email interactions that have been acknowledged in UiPath. The UiPath.Mail. Activities package is inclusive of all the actions linked to e-mails. There are numerous email services offered in the UiPath studio. They include the following:

• Simple mail transfer protocol
• Post office protocol
• Internet message access protocol

Outlook

I learned that the Citrix server directs screenshots of the conscious application running on the Citrix server to the client. Hence, the UiPath is unable to access the rational components that form the user interface. Advanced Citrix automation produces intellectual analytics and user behavior insights for the enhanced security, management, orchestration, and automation of workspaces and application delivery. It gives the user the aptitude to identify and respond to coercions in real-time. This is based on modifications in the behavior of the user, trust of the devices, and the conditions of the network.

Conclusion

In conclusion, UiPath provides for a debug constituent that assists the users to trace and discover difficulties with ease in compound workflows. This is significant since users can view the implementation of every event to confirm what type of data it acquires and check whether there are faults in creating outputs. In the UiPath project organization, a framework is essential since it prompts the user to maintain a consistent and organized manner with any process whatsoever. It also helps the user to start with a high-level view and later moves deeper into the precise particulars of each method. Splitting the operations into minor workflows is significant in designing a good project. This is because small workflows offer independent testing of components, and they encourage teamwork.
